Fucosyl gangliosides of PC12 pheochromocytoma cells [PDF]
Three monosialogangliosides are highly labeled when PC12 pheochromocytoma cells are cultured in the presence of L‐[3H] fucose, and two additional monosialogangliosides are labeled to a lesser extent. In contrast, neither of the two disialogangliosides of PC12 cells contains fucose residues.

Ceramide induces apoptosis in PC12 cells [PDF]
The novel lipid second messenger, ceramide, induced apoptosis in PC12 cells as determined morphologically by nuclear appearance and internucleosomal DNA fragmentation. Apoptosis was induced by exogenous C2‐ceramide in a dose‐ and time‐dependent manner. Natural ceramide and C6‐ceramide had a similar effect.
