"Self-catabolite repression" of pectate lyase in Erwinia carotovora
Journal of Bacteriology, 1979The induction of pectate lyase of Erwinia carotovora was repressed by a high concentration of its inducer. The concomitant addition of cyclic adenosine 3',5'-monophosphate reversed this repression.

The role of pectate lyases in development and stress tolerance in plants
Molecular Biology ReportsPectate lyases (PLs) are a class of pectin-degrading enzymes that catalyze the β-elimination of de-esterified homogalacturonan in a Ca²⁺-dependent manner, releasing unsaturated oligogalacturonides and playing pivotal roles in plant cell wall remodelling.
