Antimicrobial Cyclic Peptidomimetics

open access: yesMacromolecular Rapid Communications, EarlyView.
Singular macromolecular cationic, amphipathic cyclic peptidomimetics with poly(2‐oxazoline)s‐esque backbone structure that undergo self‐assembly in water to form uniform nanoparticles were developed. The cyclic peptidomimetics, which act on bacterial cell membranes, exhibit hydrophobic‐dependent antimicrobial activity and toxicity.

Adding diverse noncanonical backbones to rosetta: enabling peptidomimetic design. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2013
Peptidomimetics are classes of molecules that mimic structural and functional attributes of polypeptides. Peptidomimetic oligomers can frequently be synthesized using efficient solid phase synthesis procedures similar to peptide synthesis ...

Universal Peptidomimetics [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the American Chemical Society, 2010
This paper concerns peptidomimetic scaffolds that can present side chains in conformations resembling those of amino acids in secondary structures without incurring excessive entropic or enthalpic penalties. Compounds of this type are referred to here as minimalist mimics.

Peptidomimetic-Based Asymmetric Catalysts

open access: yes, 2023
Despite the great advantages of peptidomimetic scaffolds, there are only a few examples of their application in the field of asymmetric catalysis. Peptidomimetic scaffolds offer numerous advantages related to their easy preparation, modular and tunable ...
