Proteome-wide analysis of cysteine oxidation reveals metabolic sensitivity to redox stress [PDF]
Reactive oxygen species (ROS) are increasingly recognised as important signalling molecules through oxidation of protein cysteine residues. Comprehensive identification of redox-regulated proteins and pathways is crucial to understand ROS-mediated events.

Modified Potentiometric Method with Isooctane for Peroxide Value Determination
The potentiometric method for determining peroxide value (PV) was modified by substituting an isooctane-acetic acid (1 : 4) mixture for a chloroform-acetic acid (2 : 3) mixture as the solvent, without loss of analytical precision and with increased convenience. Nitrogen replacement of air in a reaction flask was effective for this purpose.

ABSTRACT Purpose Air pollution has been linked to several neurological conditions, including stroke and neurodegenerative diseases. Evidence regarding its association with multiple sclerosis (MS) remains conflicting, limited by small sample sizes. Methods PubMed, Embase, Scopus, and Cochrane controlled register of trials (CENTRAL) were searched on ...
