GRB2, a protein known for a long time with a new autophagy-regulating function
BECN1 (BCL2 interacting myosin like coiled protein) is a major regulator of autophagy and a haploinsufficient tumor suppressor. BECN1 binds to multiple proteins and it is part of at least two different class III phosphatidylinositol (PI) 3 Kinase (PI3KC3)

PSMA redirects MAPK to PI3K-AKT signaling to promote prostate cancer progression
Increased Prostate Specific Membrane Antigen expression promotes tumor progression in prostate epithelium by dysregulating the β1-integrin/type I insulin-like growth factor receptor axis, resulting in a shift in signaling from the less aggressive mitogen-

Tumor mutational burden as a determinant of metastatic dissemination patterns
This study performed a comprehensive analysis of genomic data to elucidate whether metastasis in certain organs share genetic characteristics regardless of cancer type. No robust mutational patterns were identified across different metastatic locations and cancer types.

CHIN117 is a dual cysteinyl leukotriene receptor 1 (CYSLTR1) antagonist and G‐protein‐coupled bile acid receptor 1 (GPBAR1) agonist. In the liver, GPBAR1 and CYSLTR1 are coexpressed by liver sinusoidal endothelial cells (LSECs), HSCs, circulating monocytes/macrophages, and liver resident macrophages (Kupffer cells).

Phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase signaling determines kidney size [PDF]
Kidney size adaptively increases as mammals grow and in response to the loss of 1 kidney. It is not clear how kidneys size themselves or if the processes that adapt kidney mass to lean body mass also mediate renal hypertrophy following unilateral nephrectomy (UNX).

Simultaneous inhibition of pan-phosphatidylinositol-3-kinases and MEK as a potential therapeutic strategy in peripheral T-cell lymphomas. [PDF]
Peripheral T-cell lymphomas are very aggressive hematologic malignancies for which there is no targeted therapy. New, rational approaches are necessary to improve the very poor outcome in these patients.

An emerging role for PI5P in T cell biology
Phosphoinositides are critical regulators in cell biology. Phosphatidylinositol 4,5-bisphosphate, also known as PI(4,5)P2 or PIP2, was the first variety of phosphoinositide to enter in the T cell signaling scene.

The Hsp90 cochaperone TTT promotes cotranslational maturation of PIKKs prior to complex assembly
Summary: Phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase-related kinases (PIKKs) are a family of kinases that control fundamental processes, including cell growth, DNA damage repair, and gene expression.

The PI3Kδ inhibitor roginolisib (IOA‐244) preserves T‐cell function and activity
Identification of novel PI3K inhibitors with limited immune‐related adverse effects is highly sought after. We found that roginolisib and idelalisib inhibit chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) cells and Treg suppressive functions to similar extents, but roginolisib affects cytotoxic T‐cell function and promotion of pro‐inflammatory T helper subsets to a
