Ein immobilisierter, fester molekularer Rh‐Katalysator für die reduktive Hydroformylierung von 1‐Octen

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.

High Turnover Frequency in the Electrocatalytic Reduction of Nitrous Oxide to Dinitrogen at a Binuclear Copper Complex of 3,5‐Diamino‐1,2,4‐Triazole

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Inspired by nitrous oxide reductase, a binuclear copper complex supported by carbon black was utilized for the electrocatalytic N₂O reduction under ambient conditions. The binuclear Cu center enables exceptionally high turnover frequency and nearly 100% Faradaic efficiency for the electrochemical N₂O reduction.

A Genetically Encoded Homocysteine Precursor to Probe Protein Active Sites and to Addict Escherichia coli to a Noncanonical Amino Acid Directly Involved in Catalysis

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
A new genetically encoded amino acid is chemically converted into homocysteine (Hcy) under mild conditions to probe and to activate protein active sites. Surprisingly, Hcy can replace cysteine or serine residues in several enzymes. Its potential for a widespread use in proteins is further underlined by rendering Escherichia coli dependent on Hcy ...

A C‐to‐B Atom Swap on Coumarins and Dibenzolactones

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Cyclic boronic hemiesters, boron isosteres of lactones, display unique and valuable chemical properties. Herein, we report a novel method for their synthesis via nickel‐catalyzed decarbonylative borylation, enabled by electron‐rich phosphine ligands to achieve a formal “C‐to‐B” atom swap.
