Defying Stereotypes with Nanodiamonds: Stable Primary Diamondoid Phosphines.

Journal of Organic Chemistry, 2016
Direct unequal C-H bond difunctionalization of phosphorylated diamantane was achieved in high yield from the corresponding phosphonates. Reduction of the functionalized phosphonates provides access to novel primary and secondary alkyl/aryl diamantane ...

Mono-Oxidation of Bidentate Bis-phosphines in Catalyst Activation: Kinetic and Mechanistic Studies of a Pd/Xantphos-Catalyzed C-H Functionalization.

Journal of the American Chemical Society, 2015
Kinetic, spectroscopic, crystallographic, and computational studies probing a Pd-catalyzed C-H arylation reaction reveal that mono-oxidation of the bis-phosphine ligand is critical for the formation of the active catalyst. The bis-phosphine mono-oxide is

Methoxyphenyl Substituted Bis(picolyl)phosphines and Phosphine Oxides

, 2016
Three new derivatives of methoxyphenyl-substituted bis(picolyl)phosphines 3-5, the CH2TMS substituted bis(picolyl)phosphine (6) and related phosphine oxides 2b-5b have been synthesized.

The synthesis of heteroleptic phosphines.

Dalton Transactions, 2015
Heteroleptic phosphines (R2PR(1)) are a class of essential ligands for inorganic and organometallic chemistry. However, the syntheses of these phosphines are often fraught with laborious synthetic hurdles.

Efficient synthesis of (P-chirogenic) o-boronated phosphines from sec-phosphine boranes.

Organic Letters, 2015
An efficient synthesis of boronated phosphines with an o-phenylene-bridge prepared from sec-phosphine boranes and using benzyne chemistry is reported. Successive reactions of sec-phosphine boranes with n-BuLi and 1,2-dibromobenzene, and then with boron ...

The Estimation of Phosphine in Air

American Industrial Hygiene Association Journal, 1963
Abstract A simple field method has been developed for the estimation of phosphine in the atmosphere of grain silos and other fumigation areas. The procedure uses silver nitrate impregnated papers as a means of visual detection. Quantitative estimation as low as 0.05 ppm is by color comparison with standard stains.

α-Cationic phosphines: synthesis and applications.

Chemistry, 2014
In coordination chemistry, typical ancillary ligands are anionic or neutral species. Cationic ones are exceptions and, when used, the positively charged groups are normally attached to the periphery and not close to the donating atom.
