On the Physicochemical Properties of Pyridohelicenes

Chemistry – A European Journal, 2013
AbstractA comprehensive study on the physicochemical properties of a series of mono‐ and diaza[5]helicenes as well as mono‐ and diaza[6]helicenes is reported. Through the use of both computational and experimental methods, these helically chiral pyridohelicenes with the nitrogen atom(s) in various positions are characterised according to their ...

On the physicochemical properties of gellan gum

Biopolymers, 1990
AbstractThis paper concerns the behavior in dilute and semidilute solutions of deacetylated gellan. The conformational transition, controlled by temperature and ionic strength, is investigated. It corresponds to a double‐helix single‐chain transition.

Prediction of Physicochemical Properties

2012
Physicochemical properties are key factors in controlling the interactions of xenobiotics with living organisms. Computational approaches to toxicity prediction therefore generally rely to a very large extent on the physicochemical properties of the query compounds.

Some Physicochemical Properties of the Montmorillonites

Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences, 1966
The swelling, moisture sorption, particle size, cation-exchange, and drug adsorption properties of selected montmorillonites were studied. The swelling of montmorillonite was found to depend on both adsorptive and osmotic phenomena. The study of the sorption of alkaloidal drugs by the clay showed that brucine was sorbed by both adsorption and ion ...

Physicochemical properties of kiwifruit starch

Food Chemistry, 2017
Three varieties of golden kiwifruit (Actinidia chinensis) (Gold3, Gold9 and Hort16A) were collected at the commercial harvesting time, and physicochemical properties of starches from core and outer pericarp were studied. Starch contents (dry weight basis) in outer pericarp and core tissues ranged from 38.6 to 51.8% and 34.6 to 40.7%, respectively.

Physicochemical Properties of Magnesium Salicylate

Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences, 1981
Magnesium salicylate tetrahydrate is a nonhygroscopic, crystalline powder, whereas anhydrous magnesium salicylate is amorphous and very hygroscopic. Magnesium salicylate tetrahydrate tablets formulated with gelatin as a binder showed a dissolution half-life (t1/2) of 12 min, whereas a formulation using pregelatinized starch as a binder showed a t1/2 of

Physicochemical properties of maca starch

Food Chemistry, 2017
Maca (Lepidium meyenii Walpers) is gaining research attention due to its unique bioactive properties. Starch is a major component of maca roots, thus representing a novel starch source. In this study, the properties of three maca starches (yellow, purple and black) were compared with commercially maize, cassava, and potato starches.

Physicochemical properties of 2′-benzoyloxycinnamaldehyde

International Journal of Pharmaceutics, 2004
2'-Benzoyloxycinnamaldehyde (BCA), a derivative of 2-hydroxycinnamaldehyde demonstrated a potent antitumor effect against several human solid tumor cell lines. The physicochemical properties and degradation kinetics of BCA were investigated to support the drug-development effort.
