Exploring the Role of Extracorporeal Photopheresis in Kidney Transplant Management

open access: yesTransplantation Direct
Extracorporeal photopheresis (ECP) is emerging as an apoptotic cell-based therapy that suppresses alloimmunity, promotes donor-specific regulation, and reduces the need for conventional maintenance immunosuppression.

Changing the Lives of People With Primary Immunodeficiencies (PI) With Early Testing and Diagnosis

open access: yesFrontiers in Immunology, 2018
Throughout the world, primary immunodeficiencies (PI) are largely undiagnosed and underreported. Many patients do not receive an accurate and timely diagnosis, which is crucial for successful management and care of PI (1). It is estimated that between 70

The ubiquitin ligase RNF115 is required for the clearance of damaged lysosomes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Upon lysosomal rupture, an E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF115 translocates from the cytosol to the damaged lysosomal membrane. Moreover, RNF115 depletion impairs the clearance of damaged lysosomes, identifying it as a key regulator of lysosomal quality control.

Organizing the interface—Plasma membrane architecture and receptor dynamics in virus‐cell interactions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Plasma membranes contain dynamic nanoscale domains that organize lipids and receptors. Because viruses operate at similar scales, this architecture shapes early infection steps, including attachment, receptor engagement, and entry. Using influenza A virus and HIV‐1 as examples, we highlight how receptor nanoclusters, multivalent glycan interactions ...

Radiative rho(+)->pi(+)gamma decay in light cone QCD

open access: yes, 2001
We investigate the radiative rho (+) --> pi (+)gamma decay in the framework of the light cone QCD sum rules. We estimate the coupling constant gp,, for this decay and using this value of the coupling constant, we calculate the decay width of the rho (+) -
