Molecular Determinants of PI(4,5)P2 and PI(3,4,5)P3 Regulation of the Epithelial Na+ Channel [PDF]

open access: yes
Phosphatidylinositol 4,5-bisphosphate (PI(4,5)P2) and phosphatidylinositol 3,4,5-trisphosphate (PI(3,4,5)P3) are physiologically important second messengers. These molecules bind effector proteins to modulate activity.

Tunable and Recyclable Piezoelectric Biomaterials via Ion‐Directed Guanine‐Quadruplex Assembly

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 36, Issue 11, 5 February 2026.
Guanine‐quadruplex (GQ) assemblies, formed via ion‐mediated self‐assembly of amphiphilic guanine derivatives, are introduced as tunable and recyclable piezoelectric biomaterials. Distinct alkali ions induce unique dipole configurations and piezoelectric outputs, with K⁺ yielding the highest performance.

Molecular mechanisms of Sorting nexin-9 in membrane triggered actin polymerisation [PDF]

open access: yes
Sorting nexin-9 (SNX9) is a SH3-PX-BAR domain-containing adaptor protein, func- tionally implicated in regulating actin polymerisation in clathrin mediated endocy- tosis and filopodia formation.

Aqueously Upcycled Lignin with Emergent Tribonegativity for Skin‐Integrated Triboelectronics

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, Volume 38, Issue 9, 12 February 2026.
Aqueously upcycled lignin is transformed into a printable ink that self‐assembles into a nanotextured surface during printing with the highest reported biopolymer‐based tribonegativity. The resulting skin‐integrated triboelectric sensor enables high‐fidelity cardiovascular monitoring and objective mental workload classification, demonstrating a ...

Molecular Simulation of Functionalized Covalent Organic Framework Membranes for Inorganic Salt Separation

open access: yesAdvanced Theory and Simulations, Volume 9, Issue 2, February 2026.
Six functionalized TpPa‐based covalent organic frameworks (COFs) are characterized using nonequilibrium molecular dynamics simulations to assess water permeance and salt rejection. The TpPa‐SO3H COF membrane achieves the highest sodium sulfate rejection (>98%) while maintaining relatively high water permeance compared to commercial nanofiltration ...

Damage‐Free Full‐Thickness Dicing of Ultra‐Thin GaAs Wafers Using a Femtosecond Laser with Low Residual Stress

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 7, 3 February 2026.
This study presents a femtosecond laser‐based ultrashort pulse dicing system that uses a non‐diffracting Bessel beam to shape the femtosecond laser. The use of femtosecond Bessel beam shaping and high‐speed scanning enables rapid material removal that outpaces thermal diffusion, thereby suppressing melting, minimizing the HAZ, and reducing sidewall ...

LPLAT11/MBOAT7-driven phosphatidylinositol remodeling ensures radial glial cell integrity in developing neocortex

open access: yesiScience
Summary: Phosphatidylinositol (PI) is highly enriched in arachidonic acid, an essential polyunsaturated fatty acid for brain development. This enrichment is mediated by the phospholipid remodeling enzyme lysophospholipid acyltransferase 11 (LPLAT11 ...

Recent Advances in Mediator and Proton Relay Usage in Molecular Catalysis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 8, 9 February 2026.
The use of electron–proton transfer mediators, redox mediators, and proton relays in synergy with molecular catalysts in energy‐related small‐molecule and organic transformations is discussed, with a focus on recent advances. Linear free‐energy relationship and catalytic Tafel plots provide a systematic foundation for benchmarking these catalytic ...

Exploring Indium Teflates: From Neutral In(OTeF5)3(THF)3 to Anionic Complexes [In(OTeF5)4(THF)2]– and [In(OTeF5)6]3–

open access: yesChemistryEurope, Volume 4, Issue 2, February 2026.
The study examines the coordination chemistry of indium teflate complexes, showing the progression from [In(OTeF5)3(THF)3] to the anionic species [In(OTeF5)4(THF)2]– and [In(OTeF5)6]3–. Systematic ligand substitution and anion formation reveal increasing teflate coordination, highlighting structural evolution, Lewis acidity modulation, and ...
