Eavesdropping on the "ping-pong" quantum communication protocol
The proposed eavesdropping scheme reveals that the quantum communication protocol recently presented by Bostrom and Felbinger [Phys. Rev. Lett.

Distributed Successive Approximation Coding using Broadcast Advantage: The Two-Encoder Case [PDF]
Traditional distributed source coding rarely considers the possible link between separate encoders. However, the broadcast nature of wireless communication in sensor networks provides a free gossip mechanism which can be used to simplify encoding ...

Groups of fast homeomorphisms of the interval and the ping-pong argument [PDF]
We adapt the Ping-Pong Lemma, which historically was used to study free products of groups, to the setting of the homeomorphism group of the unit interval. As a consequence, we isolate a large class of generating sets for subgroups of $\mathrm{Homeo}_+(I)

The Caenorhabditis elegans DPF‐3 and human DPP4 have tripeptidyl peptidase activity
The dipeptidyl peptidase IV (DPPIV) family comprises serine proteases classically defined by their ability to remove dipeptides from the N‐termini of substrates, a feature that gave the family its name. Here, we report the discovery of a previously unrecognized tripeptidyl peptidase activity in DPPIV family members from two different species.

Ping‐Pong Energy Transfer in Covalently Linked Porphyrin‐MoS2 Architectures
Molybdenum disulfide nanosheets covalently modified with porphyrin were prepared and fully characterized. Neither the porphyrin absorption nor its fluorescence was notably affected by covalent linkage to MoS2. The use of transient absorption spectroscopy

This perspective highlights emerging insights into how the circadian transcription factor CLOCK:BMAL1 regulates chromatin architecture, cooperates with other transcription factors, and coordinates enhancer dynamics. We propose an updated framework for how circadian transcription factors operate within dynamic and multifactorial chromatin landscapes ...

A New Key Delivery Method in Wireless Network
The development of networking technologies and the increase of digital devices have made multimedia transmission quick and easy. However, digital data transmission over open communication channels has introduced a number of security implications, such as

Biogenesis of PIWI interacting RNAs (piRNAs) in Drosophila melanogaster and other model organisms relies on a myriad of co-factors, many of which belong to the Tudor protein family. In the vector mosquito Aedes aegypti, a somatically active piRNA pathway
