Occurrence of pinitol in developing soybean seed tissues
Phytochemistry, 1997Abstract Pinitol ( 1 d -3O- methyl -chiro- inositol ) was found to be a major cyclitol present in developing soybean (Glycine max) seed tissues. Pinitol was isolated by HPLC and identified via a combination of gas-liquid chromatography and mass spectral fragmentation comparisons with authentic pinitol.
