Perivascular matrix densification promotes the emergence of aberrant endothelial tip cells (ATECs) that invade and persist within fibrotic microenvironments. Using in vivo lineage tracing and a human microvessel model, this study shows that fibrous matrix cues destabilize VE‐cadherin–mediated junctions to gate TGF‐β signaling, inducing a pro ...

By integrating data from in vitro, ex vivo, and in vivo models, our research identifies the MARV glycoprotein as a remarkable hemorrhagic factor, filling a major gap in this important field. It also provides practical experimental tools for the basic research on viral pathogenesis and applied research aimed at antiviral intervention for hemorrhagic ...

Studies of the mixed lymphocyte reaction by the virus plaque assay [PDF]
The virus plaque assay has been developed as a tool for enumerating activated lymphocytes. In previous studies using mitogens it was found that the assay detects activated T- but not activated B-lymphocytes.

Effects of biocides on Acanthamoeba castellanii as measured by flow cytometry and plaque assay
The lethal effects of various biocides, in particular two agents (chlorhexidine diacetate and polyhexamethylene biguanide) on cysts and trophozoites of Acanthamoeba castellanii have been measured by both plaque assay and flow cytometry (FCM).

ABSTRACT Periodontitis, a chronic inflammatory disease initiated and sustained by plaque microorganisms and host immune response, remains an intractable oral disease and a leading cause of tooth loss worldwide. Traditional mechanical debridement and adjunctive antibiotic or antiseptic therapy often shows limited efficacy due to the complex anatomical ...

An activity‐dependent pathway links prefrontal circuit hypoactivity to cognitive impairment. Reduced PVA–mPFC activity upregulates NEPAS, which suppresses PTX3 secretion, leading to impaired angiogenesis, myelin deficits, and memory decline. Rescue is achieved by NEPAS knockdown or chemogenetic circuit activation.
