A lower bound for the class number of $P^n(\pmb{C})$ and $P^n(\pmb{H})$

open access: yesHokkaido Mathematical Journal, 2006
We obtain new lower bounds on the codimension of local isometric imbeddings of complex and quaternion projective spaces. We show that any open set of the complex projective space P n (C) (resp. quaternion projective space P n .(H)) cannot be locally isometrically imbedded into the euclidean space of dimension 4n-3 (resp. 8n-4).

Recurrent postmenopausal bleeding: Pathological findings and predictive factors. A multicenter, prospective, observational study

open access: yesActa Obstetricia et Gynecologica Scandinavica
Introduction Recurrent postmenopausal bleeding (PMB) occurs in 6%–25% of postmenopausal women who have experienced a previous episode of PMB. The question of whether recurrent PMB leads to a higher risk of endometrial cancer (EC) in comparison to a ...

Cost-effectiveness analysis of ceftazidime-avibactam as definitive treatment for treatment of carbapenem-resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae bloodstream infection

open access: yesFrontiers in Public Health, 2023
BackgroundCeftazidime-avibactam (CAZ-AVI) is a novel antibiotic that has been confirmed in the United States and China for use in patients with carbapenem-resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae (CRKP) bloodstream infection (BSI). However, the cost-effectiveness

Iterated Posterior Linearization PMB Filter for 5G SLAM

open access: yesICC 2022 - IEEE International Conference on Communications, 2022
5G millimeter wave (mmWave) signals have inherent geometric connections to the propagation channel and the propagation environment. Thus, they can be used to jointly localize the receiver and map the propagation environment, which is termed as simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM).

Development and Characterization of Ribes nigrum Extract‐Loaded PLGA/Chitosan Nanoparticles as a Vaginal Drug Delivery System for Vulvovaginal Candidiasis

open access: yesJournal of Applied Polymer Science, EarlyView.
Ribes nigrum extract‐loaded PLGA/chitosan nanoparticles is developed as a vaginal drug delivery system for vulvovaginal candidiasis. The chitosan‐coated nanoparticles exhibit favorable physicochemical properties, strong mucoadhesion, sustained release for up to 2 weeks, excellent biocompatibility, and potent antifungal activity against Candida albicans,

A new species of Lonchidiidae (Hybodontiformes) from the Late Jurassic of Brazil (Aliança Formation, Jatobá Basin)

open access: yesThe Anatomical Record, EarlyView.
Abstract The Aliança Formation (Jatobá Basin) represents lacustrine deposits formed in oxygenated waters that hosted a diverse fauna, including Hybodontiform sharks. Within this group, the Family Lonchidiidae comprises 11 valid genera, with Parvodus previously reported in Brazilian deposits from the Brejo Santo Formation (Araripe Basin, Late Jurassic ...

Evaluating a virtual paediatric adverse drug reaction clinic

open access: yesBritish Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, EarlyView.
Aims Adverse drug reactions (ADRs) are a common problem in paediatric health care. There is limited access to expertise in the evaluation and management of potential ADRs in children, limiting access to these services and creating delays in assessment and management.

Role and mechanism of tigecycline in delaying the resistance of Klebsiella pneumoniae to polymyxin B by inhibiting cpxR

open access: yes陆军军医大学学报
Objective‍ ‍To investigate the effect of polymyxin B (PMB) combined with tigecycline (TGC) on delaying Klebsiella pneumoniae (KP) resistance to PMB, and to analyze the possible mechanisms involved in the induction and delay of resistance.
