BCL9 and BCL9L drive bladder cancer progression by enhancing β‐catenin signaling, promoting proliferation, migration, invasion, and organoid growth. Genetic depletion of BCL9(L) suppresses malignant phenotypes, while pharmacological disruption of the β‐catenin/BCL9(L) complex with ZW4864 inhibits canonical Wnt signaling and tumor‐associated cellular ...

Cell polarity: Par for the polar course [PDF]
The nematode PAR-1 gene is required for asymmetric cell divisions during development. Recently identified mammalian Par-1 homologues are kinases that phosphorylate microtubule-associated proteins; their overexpression disrupts the microtubule cytoskeleton, and alters cellular structure and organization.

The cell‐autonomous roles of interferon type 1 vary based on duration and intensity. While acute, robust signaling results in cancer cell cytotoxic effects, sustained, low‐level signaling is associated with tumor‐promoting effects. This review summarizes current research of IFN‐1 in cancer and within the clinical setting, with an emphasis on female ...

Infants Segment Words from Songs—An EEG Study
Children’s songs are omnipresent and highly attractive stimuli in infants’ input. Previous work suggests that infants process linguistic−phonetic information from simplified sung melodies.

Evolutionary analysis across 32 placental mammals identified positive selection at residues H148 and W149 in the immune receptor FcγR1. Ancestral reconstruction combined with molecular dynamics simulations reveals how these mutations may influence receptor structure and dynamics, providing insight into the evolution of antibody recognition and immune ...

Crosstalk between NDR kinase pathways coordinates cell cycle dependent actin rearrangements
Regulation of cytoskeletal remodeling is essential for cell cycle transitions. In fission yeast two NDR kinase signaling cascades, MOR and SIN, regulate the actin cytoskeleton to promote polarized growth during interphase and cytokinesis respectively ...

We generalize the intuitionistic Hyland-Ong games to a notion of polarized games allowing games with plays starting by proponent moves. The usual constructions on games are adjusted to fit this setting yielding a game model for polarized linear logic with a definability result.

Loss of AMBRA1 activates MAPK and angiogenesis signaling pathways in melanoma cells
Loss of AMBRA1 in melanoma cells activates multiple oncogenic pathways associated with tumor progression. Transcriptomic and protein network analyses revealed that AMBRA1 depletion enhances MAPK/ERK signaling, angiogenesis, TGF‐β/EMT signaling, and Wnt/axon guidance pathways.

Applying mechanical forces on Drosophila tissues in vivo using the StretchCo, a 3D-printable device
Summary: Applying mechanical forces to tissues helps to understand morphogenesis and homeostasis. Additionally, recording the dynamics of living tissues under mechanical constraints is needed to explore tissue biomechanics. Here, we present a protocol to
