Is a Clinical Trial With a Non‐Bioequivalent Batch Necessary? The Critical Role of Intrasubject Variability in Olaparib Formulation Bridging by PBPK

open access: yesClinical Pharmacology &Therapeutics, Volume 120, Issue 1, Page 203-213, July 2026.
Although physiologically based pharmacokinetic (PBPK) modeling is increasingly being used to support oral drug formulation bridging, the acceptance by regulatory agencies is low. One of the primary concerns is the absence of clinical pharmacokinetic (PK) data from a non‐bioequivalent (non‐BE) batch during model validation.

Metabolome analysis identified exogenous cholesterol within lipid rafts that activate the Akt/mTOR signaling pathway in epithelial ovarian cancer

open access: yesInternational Journal of Cancer, Volume 159, Issue 1, Page 257-268, 1 July 2026.
What's New? Epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC) is a severe malignancy with few effective treatment options. While the mechanisms remain unclear, changes in lipid metabolism may fuel tumor growth and EOC progression, offering a possible path for new treatments.

Exosome Secretion Drives Chemo‐Resistance of Temozolomide in Glioblastoma

open access: yesJournal of Extracellular Biology, Volume 5, Issue 7, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Temozolomide (TMZ) is a first‐line chemotherapeutic agent for the treatment of glioblastoma (GBM), while a majority of patients do not effectively respond to TMZ owing to the multiple resistance mechanisms. In this study, we found that TMZ treatment substantially increased the exosome secretion from GBM cell line.

Vitamin‐Responsive Disorders: From Molecular Basis to Clinical Presentation and Therapy

open access: yesJournal of Inherited Metabolic Disease, Volume 49, Issue 4, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Vitamin‐dependent cofactors are essential for numerous metabolic reactions, and defects affecting their uptake, conversion, utilisation, or regeneration constitute a heterogeneous group of inherited metabolic disorders (IMDs). Although dietary vitamin intake is sufficient to sustain coenzyme synthesis in healthy individuals, it is insufficient
