Synthesis of Carboxylic Cellulose Nanocrystals From Yellow Thatching Grass (Hyparrhenia filipendula) via Citric Acid Hydrolysis

open access: yesEnergy Science &Engineering, EarlyView.
Fractionation of yellow thatching grass using sodium hydroxide and deep eutectic solvent Carboxylated Cellulose nanocrystals (CNCs) were successfully synthesized via hydrolysis with 80 wt% citric acid at 120°C for 4 h Variations in CNC characteristics were observed based on the fractionation method used ABSTRACT Grass is an abundant and renewable ...

Perinatal Gut Dysbiosis Reduces Milk Oligosaccharides via LPS‐Mediated Gut–Mammary Signaling in Mice

open access: yesFood Frontiers, EarlyView.
Maternal gut dysbiosis elevates Gram‐negative bacterial lipopolysaccharide (LPS), which enters circulation and accumulates in mammary tissue. This compromises the blood–milk barrier and suppresses key enzymatic genes, ultimately reducing milk oligosaccharide synthesis and potentially affecting neonatal gut microbiota through breastfeeding.

Subthreshold eosinophilia during food impaction may mask eosinophilic esophagitis: A pediatric case series

open access: yesJPGN Reports, EarlyView.
Abstract To describe the clinical scenario and need for longitudinal follow‐up of pediatric patients presenting with esophageal food impactions (EFIs) regardless of esophageal biopsy eosinophil count. A retrospective chart review was conducted on patients with EFI who underwent endoscopic evaluation from August 2022 to August 2024.
