Enantiomeric separation of organophosphorus pesticides by capillary electrophoresis. Application to the determination of malathion in water samples after preconcentration by off-line solid-phase extraction [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
The separation of the enantiomers of a group of organophosphorus pesticides (OPs) has been investigated by electrokinetic chromatography (EKC) using different anionic cyclodextrins as chiral selectors. The use of a 25 mM Tris buffer (pH 7.0), 20 mM in CM-

Ion-pair chromatographic attribute in the retention of ammonium ion on a crown ether-based and a polysaccharide-based chiral stationary phases. Some mobile phase additives compatible with liquid chromatography-electrospray ionization-mass spectrometry

open access: yesJournal of Chromatography Open
The design of the mobile phase additive useful in HPLC analysis on two types of chiral stationary phases, one based on chiral crown ether, and another based on polysaccharide derivative, was developed. CROWNPAK® CR-I, the chiral stationary phase bearing (

Predicting enantioseparations on polysaccharide-based stationary phases using achiral and chiral molecular descriptors

open access: yesJournal of Chromatography Open
Achiral and chiral molecular descriptors were used to build models that predict the global retention of chiral molecules on the one hand, and their enantioselectivity, separation and elution sequence on the other.

Chiral Molecules Induce Enantiomorphic Lattice Helicity in Chiral 0D Tin Bromide Crystals

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, Volume 137, Issue 43, October 20, 2025.
Chiral (R‐MBA)2SnBr6 and (S‐MBA)2SnBr6 metal halides crystallize in enantiomorphic helical space groups P61 and P65, respectively. The helical orientation of chiral molecules in the lattice arises due to strong N─H···Br and C─H···π interactions and is visualized via sixfold symmetry.

Sample Preparation and Separation of Lignans by Liquid Chromatography

open access: yesJournal of Separation Science, Volume 49, Issue 5, May 2026.
ABSTRACT Lignans are important phytochemicals found mostly in the resins of coniferous trees, but are also introduced into human diets through foods such as sesame seeds and extra‐virgin olive oil. They are pharmacologically interesting mainly because of their antioxidant activities, and they have also been shown to have cytotoxic and antimicrobial ...

Subcritical Fluid Chromatography at Sub-Ambient Temperatures for the Chiral Resolution of Ketamine Metabolites with Rapid-Onset Antidepressant Effects

open access: yesMolecules, 2019
Chiral metabolites of ketamine exerting rapid-onset yet sustained antidepressant effects may be marketed directly in the future, but require chemo- and enantio-selective chromatographic methods for quality assurance and control.
