The Adiponectin‐PP2A Pathway Confers Cognitive Benefits of Physical Exercise Against Chronic Stress‐Induced Tau Hyperphosphorylation in the Hippocampus

open access: yesAging Cell, Volume 25, Issue 3, March 2026.
Physical exercise ameliorates cognitive deficits and attenuates Tau hyperphosphorylation under chronic stress by elevating circulating adiponectin levels. Upon receptor binding, adiponectin modulates the LCMT1/PME‐1 regulatory axis to promote PP2A methylation and catalytic function.

A Comprehensive Multiomics Approach Illuminates the Biosynthetic Mechanism of Scoparone in Artemisia capillaris

open access: yesPlant Biotechnology Journal, Volume 24, Issue 1, Page 346-360, January 2026.
ABSTRACT Artemisia capillaris, a traditional Chinese medicinal plant, has displayed favourable effects in the treatment of jaundice, inflammation of the liver and cholecystitis for thousands of years. However, the biosynthesis of scoparone, the major active component in A. capillaris, remains unclear.

A novel class of microRNA-recognition elements that function only within open reading frames. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are well known to target 3' untranslated regions (3' UTRs) in mRNAs, thereby silencing gene expression at the post-transcriptional level.

Development of a reverse transcription loop-mediated isothermal amplification assay for detection of Porcine teschovirus [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Veterinary Diagnostic Investigation, 2011
Loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP) is a sensitive method for DNA amplification. In the present report, the development of a single-tube, one-step, real-time accelerated reverse transcription (RT)-LAMP for the detection of Porcine teschovirus (PTV) is described.

Rationally Designed TadA‐Derived Cytosine Editors Enable Context‐Independent Zebrafish Genome Editing

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 12, Issue 39, October 20, 2025.
A next‐generation cytosine base editor (zTadCBE) and other variants are developed by combining the high‐efficiency (TadCBEa) and low‐indel (TadCBEMax) architectures, followed by the introduction of zebrafish‐optimized mutations (V82S, Q154R) in the TadA domain.

Antigenic and immunogenic properties of industrial strains of Porcine Teschovirus

open access: yesAgroecological journal, 2015
90 samples of brain and spinal cord from dead or forced slaughtered pigs with clinical signs Teschen disease were selected and investigated. Of the 28 samples taken we selected isolates viruses which have morphological, physical, chemical, biological, molecular-genetic and antigenic properties attributed to species Porcine teschovirus (PTV) genus ...

Metagenomic analysis of the RNA fraction of the fecal virome indicates high diversity in pigs infected by porcine endemic diarrhea virus in the United States

open access: yesVirology Journal, 2018
Background Emergence and re-emergence of porcine epidemic diarrhea virus (PEDV) in North America, Asia and Europe has caused severe economic loss to the global swine industry.

Comparative analysis of two newly established Cre rat lines, NeuN‐Cre and Thy1‐Cre, for neurological research

open access: yesAnimal Models and Experimental Medicine, Volume 8, Issue 8, Page 1468-1479, August 2025.
We generated two neuron‐specific Cre rat lines, Thy1‐Cre and NeuN‐Cre, using CRISPR/Cas9‐mediated targeted insertion. Both lines were validated for high neural specificity by crossing them with a Cre reporter rat. When bred with an ND1 conditional knockout rat, the two Cre lines produced distinct phenotypic outcomes. These rat lines have been deposited

A new familial form of a late-onset, persistent hyperinsulinemic hypoglycemia of infancy caused by a novel mutation in KCNJ11. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
The ATP-sensitive potassium channel (KATP) functions as a metabo-electric transducer in regulating insulin secretion from pancreatic β-cells. The pancreatic KATP channel is composed of a pore-forming inwardly-rectifying potassium channel, Kir6.2, and a ...
