Structure and Function of the PP2A-Shugoshin Interaction [PDF]
Accurate chromosome segregation during mitosis and meiosis depends on shugoshin proteins that prevent precocious dissociation of cohesin from centromeres. Shugoshins associate with PP2A, which is thought to dephosphorylate cohesin and thereby prevent cleavage by separase during meiosis I.

Rh1 attenuates oxidative stress and mitochondrial dysfunction through SIRT1‐related signaling. ABSTRACT Alzheimer's disease (AD) remains a progressive neurodegenerative disorder with limited therapeutic options. Ginsenoside Rh1 has been reported to possess neuroprotective properties, yet its specific role and underlying mechanisms in AD are not fully ...

STRIPAK directs PP2A activity toward MAP4K4 to promote oncogenic transformation of human cells
Alterations involving serine-threonine phosphatase PP2A subunits occur in a range of human cancers, and partial loss of PP2A function contributes to cell transformation.

The Role of PP2A A Subunits in Tumor Suppression [PDF]
The protein phosphatase 2A (PP2A) family of heterotrimeric serine-threonine phosphatases participates in human cell transformation. Each functional PP2A complex contains one structural A subunit (A alpha or A beta), and mutations of both are found to occur at low frequency in human tumors. We have shown that A alpha functions as haploinsufficient tumor

DMH1 induces Akt activation through inhibiting PP2A in L6 cells.
(A) DMH1 treatment showed no effect on the protein expressions of PP2A-a, PP2A-b, and PP2A-c subunits.

ABSTRACT Obstructive sleep apnea is a clinical syndrome that triggers a series of pathophysiologic changes, including disturbed sleep architecture, chronic intermittent hypoxia and hypercapnia, and ultimately severe cognitive dysfunction. The hippocampus plays a key role in various cognitive processes such as learning and memory.

Long Non‐Coding RNA, Like NEAT1 and MALAT1, in Asthma: Mechanisms and Therapeutic Potential
Long non‐coding RNA, like NEAT1 and MALAT1, is emerging as a regulator of asthma‐related inflammation, airway remodelling, viral responses and cell death pathways, and are promising targets for future therapeutics. ABSTRACT Asthma affects millions worldwide. Long non‐coding RNA (lncRNA) are emerging as important factors in the pathophysiology of asthma

Defects of protein phosphatase 2A causes corticosteroid insensitivity in severe asthma. [PDF]
BACKGROUND: Corticosteroid insensitivity is a major barrier of treatment for some chronic inflammatory diseases, such as severe asthma, but the molecular mechanism of the insensitivity has not been fully elucidated.
