Selective activation of pre-replication complexes in vitro at specific sites in mammalian nuclei

Journal of Cell Science, 2000
ABSTRACT As the first step in determining whether or not pre-replication complexes are assembled at specific sites along mammalian chromosomes, nuclei from G1-phase hamster cells were incubated briefly in Xenopus egg extract in order to initiate DNA replication.

Interaction and Assembly of Murine Pre-replicative Complex Proteins in Yeast and Mouse Cells

Journal of Molecular Biology, 2003
Eukaryotic cells coordinate chromosome duplication by the assembly of protein complexes at origins of DNA replication by sequential binding of member proteins of the origin recognition complex (ORC), CDC6, and minichromosome maintenance (MCM) proteins.
