Particle Size Matters – Impact of Particle Size and Crucible Geometry on Sublimation Behavior of Formamidinium Iodide

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
FAI precursor particle size and sublimation crucible geometry critically determine vapor flux directionality and deposition uniformity in thermal sublimation processes. Conical crucibles exhibit particle‐size‐dependent beam focusing, while cylindrical crucibles show a much more homogeneous deposition due to de‐focusing effects of the emitted vapor flux.

A New Hybrid Preconditioner for the Interior Point Method

open access: yesTrends in Computational and Applied Mathematics, 2019
This study aims to improve the computation of the search direction in the primal-dual Interior Point Method through preconditioned iterative methods. It is about a hybrid approach that combines the Controlled Cholesky Factorization preconditioner and ...

Molecular Layer Deposited Aluminum‐Based Hybrid Resist for High‐Resolution Nanolithography and Direct Ultra‐High Aspect Ratio Pattern Transfer

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates an aluminum‐based hybrid photoresist synthesized via molecular layer deposition (MLD) using trimethylaluminum and hydroquinone. The resist achieves sub‐20 nm resolution and virtually infinite silicon etch selectivity, enabling 40 nm‐wide, micrometer‐tall nanostructures.

A block upper triangular preconditioner for double saddle point problems arising from liquid crystal modeling [PDF]

open access: yesAIP Advances
To address the double saddle point problems that emerge in liquid crystal modeling, this article proposes the utilization of the preconditioned generalized minimal residual method for their resolution.

Hydrogel Confinement Strategies for 3D Cell Culture in Microfluidic Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Hydrogel confinement structures are key to organizing 3D cell cultures in microfluidic devices. This review classifies five structural strategies (micropillar, phaseguide, porous membrane, stepped‐height, and support‐free) and examines their trade‐offs alongside fabrication methods.

Zone‐Sectored Organic Crystals with Spatially Resolved Exciton Dynamics

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
Novel type of rubrene microcrystals in the orthorhombic phase are grown exhibiting spatial contrast in spectra and dynamics due to differences in unit cell orientation. Distinct zones selectively host redshifted luminescence band at ≈650 nm driven by high photon absorption.

Scalable Task Planning via Large Language Models and Structured World Representations

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
This work efficiently combines graph‐based world representations with the commonsense knowledge in Large Language Models to enhance planning techniques for the large‐scale environments that modern robots will need to face. Planning methods often struggle with computational intractability when solving task‐level problems in large‐scale environments ...

A Preconditioned Multisplitting and Schwarz Method for Linear Complementarity Problem

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics, 2014
The preconditioner presented by Hadjidimos et al. (2003) can improve on the convergence rate of the classical iterative methods to solve linear systems.

Grounding Large Language Models for Robot Task Planning Using Closed‐Loop State Feedback

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
BrainBody‐Large Language Model (LLM) introduces a hierarchical, feedback‐driven planning framework where two LLMs coordinate high‐level reasoning and low‐level control for robotic tasks. By grounding decisions in real‐time state feedback, it reduces hallucinations and improves task reliability.
