A programmable 2048‐element circular ultrasound array combined with a compact acoustic lens produces a thin “sound sheet” over a large field of view, and records echoes with wide angular diversity across the ring aperture. Coherence‐enhanced beamforming converts full‐matrix data into high‐contrast tomographic slices, delivering near‐diffraction‐limited

Role of MicroRNAs in innate neuroprotection mechanisms due to preconditioning of the brain
Insults to the brain that are sub-threshold for damage activate endogenous protective pathways, which can temporarily protect the brain against a subsequent harmful episode.

We developed an implantable dual‐drug depot using GelMA for bone metastasis treatment, co‐delivering MSA‐2 and αB7‐H3‐loaded CaCO3 microparticles. Sustained release from GelMA scaffold enables MSA‐2 to activate STING signaling and enhance T‐cell infiltration and activation, while sequentially released αB7‐H3 blocks MSA‐2‐induced B7‐H3 upregulation ...

A discretisation method with the $H_{\rm div}$ inner product for electric field integral equations
A discretisation method with the $H_{\rm div}$ inner product for the electric field integral equation~(EFIE) is proposed. The EFIE with the conventional Galerkin discretisation shows bad accuracy for problems with a small frequency, a problem known as ...

We studied how five common immunosuppressants behave when delivered directly to a transplant site instead of systemically. Using a vascularized implant for islet transplantation, we show that local delivery protects grafts, limits drug spread to the rest of the body, and produces distinct immune signatures.

Fast and accurate surface normal integration on non-rectangular domains
The integration of surface normals for the purpose of computing the shape of a surface in 3D space is a classic problem in computer vision. However, even nowadays it is still a challenging task to devise a method that is flexible enough to work on non ...

Acceleration Schemes for Ab-Initio Molecular Dynamics and Electronic Structure Calculations
We study the convergence and the stability of fictitious dynamical methods for electrons. First, we show that a particular damped second-order dynamics has a much faster rate of convergence to the ground-state than first-order steepest descent algorithms

Inherently Disordered Auxetic Metamaterials
Inherently disordered auxetic metamaterials based on random chiral Delaunay triangulations are designed and investigated using numerical simulations and experimental tests. These disordered frameworks exhibit orthotropic behavior and a large negative Poisson's ratio (ca.

BackgroundSphingosine‐1‐phosphate plays vital roles in cardiomyocyte physiology, myocardial ischemia–reperfusion injury, and ischemic preconditioning. The function of the cardiomyocyte sphingosine‐1‐phosphate receptor 1 (S1P1) in vivo is unknown. Methods
