Context associated with morphine withdrawal elicits an increase in serum corticosterone levels. Corticosterone participates in CTR‐MWM by acting on MR, but not GR, in the BLA. MR in BLA→NAcC neurons mediates CTR‐MWM. MR increases presynaptic glutamate release and meanwhile participates in D1 receptor‐induced increases in presynaptic glutamate release ...

Dichotomous organization of amygdala/temporal-prefrontal bundles in both humans and monkeys
The interactions of anterior temporal structures, and especially the amygdala, with the prefrontal cortex are pivotal to learning, decision-making, and socio-emotional regulation.

Recent Saccadic Eye Movement Research Uncovers Patterns of Cognitive Dysfunction in Schizophrenia. [PDF]
The frontal cortex and the subcortical areas of the brain play a major role in the control of thought and action. Eye movements are increasingly used in neuropsychological research to explore the executive and sensorimotor functions of such neural ...

Remembering and the prefrontal cortex [PDF]
This paper comments on a recent article by Daniel L. Schacter (1987) that reviewed the function of the frontal lobes in remembering. Schacter concluded that the frontal lobes are involved in spatiotemporal contextual processing of memorial information, and that this aspect of context is processed in a relatively automatic fashion.

Machine‐learning‐directed phytochemical pair ACT/FA, administered at BDD's orthodox ratio, synergistically modulates microglial polarization via dual Nrf2/RORγt targeting to attenuate neuroinflammation and depressive behaviors. This concentration‐dependent synergism replicates the parent formula's efficacy while providing a mechanistic basis for ...
