Prenylated flavonoids from Tephrosia spinosa
Phytochemistry, 1992Abstract The isolation and characterization of a new chalcone, spinochalcone C, and two new flavanones, spinoflavanones A and B, from various parts of Tephrosia spinosa are reported in addition to the known flavanone, fulvinervin A.

Prenylated Flavonoids from Tephrosia apollinea
HETEROCYCLES, 2007Re-investigation of the chloroform extract of the aerial part of Tephrosia apollinea afforded seven new 8-prenylated flavonoids namely tephroapollin A-G (1-7). The structures were established by spectroscopic methods, including HR-CI-MS, 1 H, 13 C, DEPT, HMQC, HMBC and ROESY experiments.

Prenylated flavonoids from Tephrosia apollinea
Chinese Chemical Letters, 2009Abstract In continuation of our chemical investigation on some medicinal plants of the genus Tephrosia, re-investigation of the methylenechloride/methanol (1:1) extract of the air-dried aerial part of Tephrosia apollinea afforded a new prenylated flavonoid 1, in addition to an aromatic ester, a sesquiterpene, a lignan and several known prenylated ...

Fungal metabolism of prenylated flavonoids
Phytochemistry, 1997Abstract When incubated in liquid culture with Aspergillus flavus , the prenylated flavanone 6-prenylnaringenin [(2 S )-6-(3,3-dimethylallyl)-5,7,4′-trihydroxyflavanone] was converted into 2,3-dihydrodihydroxy-prenyl-substituted naringenin, 6-prenylnaringenin hydrate, and dihydrofurano-substituted naringenin.

Prenylated flavonoids from Maclura pomifera
Phytochemistry, 1998Abstract Eight prenylated flavonoids, including three new compounds, have been isolated from chloroform extracts of stems and leaves of Maclura pomifera . The new prenylated flavonoids have been characterized as 5,7,4′,2″-tetrahydoxy-6-[3″-methyl-but-3″-enyl]-flavone, 5,4′-dihydroxy-2″-(1-hydroxy-1-methylethyl)-3″-methoxyfurano (4″,5″ (6,7 ...

Mass Spectrometry of Prenylated Flavonoids
HETEROCYCLES, 1992The fragmentation patterns originating from the degradation of prenyl group(s) in positive ion electron ionization (EI), fast-atom bombardment (FAB) and chemical ionization (CI) mass spectrometry (MS) of prenylated flavonoids were reviewed. The EI spectra showed the characteristic fragmentation patterns reflecting the location of prenyl group in the ...

Prenylated flavonoids from Commiphora opobalsamum stem bark
Phytochemistry, 2017A phytochemical study on the stem bark of Commiphora opobalsamum looking for cytotoxic compounds afforded eleven flavonoids, including six previously undescribed prenylated congeners, comophorin A-E, and comophoroside A. The structures of the isolated compounds were elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic evidences and correlated with known compounds.

Complementary Flavonoid Prenylations by Fungal Indole Prenyltransferases
Journal of Natural Products, 2015Flavonoids are found mainly in plants and exhibit diverse biological and pharmacological activities, which can often be enhanced by prenylations. In plants, such reactions are catalyzed by membrane-bound prenyltransferases. In this study, the prenylation of nine flavonoids from different classes by a soluble fungal prenyltransferase (AnaPT) involved in
