Common variable immunodeficiency associated enteropathy: a diagnostic enigma in developing countries
Common variable immunodeficiency (CVID) is the most prevalent primary immunodeficiency disorder with different phenotypes and aetiologies. It is characterised by hypogammaglobulinaemia, defects in specific antibody response, erroneous activation and ...

A fecal microbial meta‐analysis reveals that Megasphaera is highly abundant in the Asian population with IBD and CRC. M. elsdenii reshapes colonic immunity by triggering DC cell‐mediated Th1 and Th17 inflammation. M. elsdenii and M. elsdenii‐enriched microbiota exacerbate colonic inflammation and tumorigenesis in AOM/DSS mice.

This study identifies ZDHHC12 as a critical mediator of PA‐induced HCC progression. Mechanistically, PA upregulates ZDHHC12 expression through SMARCA4 activation, leading to HDAC8 palmitoylation at Cys244 which blocks HSC70‐mediated lysosomal degradation of HDAC8, thereby promoting HCC development. These findings provide novel mechanistic insights into

Using microfluidic models of capillary networks, this study discovered that fluid shear stresses on circulating tumor cells transiting through capillary‐sized bifurcations shed a novel class of shear‐dependent large extracellular vesicle, “shearosomes”, whose proteome comprises of over 3000 distinct proteins.

The present study reveals that PLAUR+ neutrophils are enriched in immunotherapy non‐responders and correlate with poor prognosis. PLAUR+ neutrophils dictate immunotherapy resistance in hepatocellular carcinoma by forming an immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment characterized by CD8+ T cell exclusion and macrophage‐dependent immune suppression.
