KDM7A and KDM1A inhibition suppresses tumour promoting pathways in prostate cancer
Treatment resistance is a major challenge for patients with advanced prostate cancer. This study examined an alternative approach to target the major prostate cancer‐promoting pathway by targeting epigenetic factors, whose levels are higher in tumours.

We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

Dimension-Dependent Vibro-Acoustic Performance of Piezoelectric Speakers: A Finite Element Study
The present study investigates the influence of geometric parameters on the vibro-acoustic performance of piezoelectric speakers, with the objective of establishing quantitative design guidelines for resonance tuning and sound pressure level (SPL ...

Here, we demonstrate that HS1BP3 interacts with Cortactin through a proline‐rich region (PRR3.1) and show that this interaction, and HS1BP3 itself, promote cancer cell proliferation and invasion. Inhibition of this interaction leads to build‐up of TKS5 in multivesicular endosomes and altered secretion of CD63 and CD9, providing an explanation for the ...

Interpreting the effects of DNA polymerase variants at the structural level
Using MAVISp and molecular dynamics simulations, we analyzed over 60 000 missense variants in POLE and POLD1 from ClinVar, COSMIC, cBioPortal, and saturation mutagenesis. Identified mechanistic indicators, including stability, binding, and long‐range, enable structural interpretation, providing ACMG‐like evidence for possible reclassification of VUS ...

Contributions to production optimization of oil reservoirs [PDF]
This thesis covers methods for optimization of oil production in three time-scales. In the long-term perspective, years, it is desired to maximize the economic return of the field operation, or alternatively, it is desired to maximize the oil recovery ...

A urine‐based digital PCR assay targeting two hotspot TERT promoter variants detected bladder cancer with high sensitivity and no false positives in this case–control cohort. The streamlined AbsoluteQ workflow outperformed Sanger sequencing and supports non‐invasive molecular testing for bladder cancer detection.

Lipase Production and Optimization from Bioremediation of Disposed Engine Oil [PDF]
Engine oil is one of the several refined products of crude oil made up of long- chain saturated hydrocarbon (base oil) additives. There are several ways engine oil can enter the environment, such as leaking oil tanks, cleaning of tanks by merchants ...
