Approved space astrometric missions (SIM, GAIA) are aiming at a few microarcseconds per year precision in yearly proper motions and even less than a microarcsecond in the definition of an extragalactic reference frame.

Bioscience students were asked for their opinions on the value and teaching of skills. 204 responded that teamwork, time management and study skills are necessary to reach University, that scientific writing, research, laboratory and presentation skills are taught effectively during their studies, while other skills are gained inherently through study ...

This paper reveals how human lactoferrin–albumin fusion (hLF‐HSA) potently suppresses lung adenocarcinoma cell migration. hLF‐HSA upregulates NHE7, leading to Golgi alkalization, disruption of the Golgi secretome, downregulation of MMP1, and reversal of EMT. These findings suggest a novel Golgi‐targeting strategy to suppress cancer cell migration.

Developmental and Epileptic Encephalopathy due to Biallelic Pathogenic Variants in PIGM
ABSTRACT Objective PIGM encodes a critical enzyme in the glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)‐anchor biosynthesis pathway. While promoter‐region mutations in PIGM have been associated with a relatively mild phenotype characterized by portal vein thrombosis and absence seizures, recent evidence suggests that coding‐region mutations result in a more severe

STARS WITH HIGH PROPER MOTIONS IN THE MODERN CATALOGS OF THE CDS DATABASE
Stars with high proper motions, for the most part, are objects located in the solar neighborhood within 100 parsecs. These stars are important targets for a wide range of astrophysical problems, but the accuracy of the results depends on the completeness

Cognitive and Neuroimaging Divergence Between Juvenile and Adult FUS Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis
ABSTRACT Objective Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a neurodegenerative disorder characterized by progressive motor neuron degeneration. Fused in sarcoma (FUS)‐associated juvenile ALS (jALS) represents a distinct and aggressive subgroup with rapid deterioration and poor prognosis.

COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF PROPER MOTIONS OF STARS IN OPEN CLUSTERS BY USING VO TOOLS
Astrometric catalogues such as Tycho2, Mobitel1, CSOCA, XPM, PM2000, SDSS-DR9 were used for cross identification of stars, visualization of proper motions and further data processing by using available Virtual Observatory (VO) Tools: cross-match ...

Extragalactic Proper Motions: Gravitational Waves and Cosmology
Extragalactic proper motions can reveal a variety of cosmological and local phenomena over a range of angular scales. These include observer-induced proper motions, such as the secular aberration drift caused by the solar acceleration about the Galactic ...

The tribological behavior of 100Cr6 steel spheres textured via Vickers microindentation is evaluated under lubricated sliding by varying both dimple size and density. Fine and dense textures significantly reduce friction across all lubrication regimes, while large dimples increase it.

Proper motions of Hipparcos stars in two plate areas
Using the ACT reference catalogue as preliminary reference we have reduced 31 exposures on 15 plates in two areas taken with the 40-cm refractor of our Observatory; Using the central overlapping technique and an iterative procedure we have derived high ...
