Validation of protein carbonyl measurement: A multi-centre study [PDF]
Protein carbonyls are widely analysed as a measure of protein oxidation. Several different methods exist for their determination. A previous study had described orders of magnitude variance that existed when protein carbonyls were analysed in a single laboratory by ELISA using different commercial kits.

AminoxyTMT: A novel multi-functional reagent for characterization of protein carbonylation
Protein carbonylation is a common oxidative stress (OS)—driven post-translational modification (PTM). Proteome-wide carbonylation events can best be characterized using a combination of analytical approaches.

Antioxidants, radical-scavenging and protein carbonylation inhibition capacity of six monocultivar virgin olive oils in Istria (Croatia) [PDF]
Six monocultivar virgin olive oils (VOOs) produced from five autochthonous (Buža, Buža Puntoža, Istarska Bjelica, Porečka Rosulja, and Rosinjola) and one referent cultivar (Leccino), were investigated.

The Campylobacter jejuni Thiol Peroxidases Tpx and Bcp Both Contribute to Aerotolerance and Peroxide-Mediated Stress Resistance but Have Distinct Substrate Specificities [PDF]
The microaerophilic food-borne pathogen Campylobacter jejuni experiences variable oxygen concentrations during its life cycle, especially during transitions between the external environment and the avian or mammalian gut.

It's a Gas: Bioconjugation With Vapor‐Phase Reagents
Gaseous reagents are an emerging class of bioconjugation reagents that can offer alternative selectivity paradigms for the construction of precise bioconjugates. A variety of both inert and highly reactive gases have recently been developed for bioconjugation use.

Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy: Molecular Staging, Risk Factors, Therapeutics, and Emerging Trends
The heterogeneous landscape of DPN can be unified through a tripartite pathogenic model encompassing progressive stages of metabolic dysregulation, chronic inflammation, and overt neuronal damage. Within this framework, six clinical subtypes were identified, namely, hyperglycemia‐driven, dyslipidemia‐driven, inflammation‐driven, dysvascularity‐driven ...
