SGLT2 inhibitors and GLP‐1 receptor agonists modestly lower blood pressure across diverse patient populations, including those without diabetes. These effects appear largely independent of glycaemic control and offer additive value in high‐risk patients with overlapping comorbidities.

ARPP-16, ARPP-19, and ENSA are inhibitors of protein phosphatase PP2A. ARPP-19 and ENSA phosphorylated by Greatwall kinase inhibit PP2A during mitosis. ARPP-16 is expressed in striatal neurons where basal phosphorylation by MAST3 kinase inhibits PP2A and

Modulation by cAMP of a Slowly Activating Potassium Channel Expressed in \u3cem\u3eXenopus\u3c/em\u3e Oocytes [PDF]
When expressed in the Xenopus oocyte, the minK protein induces a slowly activating voltage-dependent potassium current (Isk). We studied the modulation of this current by altering intracellular cAMP levels and found that the amplitude of Isk is ...

Protein phosphatase 5 regulates titin phosphorylation and function at a sarcomere-associated mechanosensor complex in cardiomyocytes. [PDF]
Serine/threonine protein phosphatase 5 (PP5) is ubiquitously expressed in eukaryotic cells; however, its function in cardiomyocytes is unknown. Under basal conditions, PP5 is autoinhibited, but enzymatic activity rises upon binding of specific factors ...

Optimizing Pichia Pastoris Cell‐Free Protein Synthesis to Improve Economics
ABSTRACT Cell‐free protein synthesis (CFPS) is a powerful and versatile platform that supports a wide range of applications, from fundamental studies of the genetic code to scalable and rapid protein production. The recently developed Pichia pastoris CFPS combines advantages of both prokaryotic and eukaryotic systems, including a rapid growth rate ...

Autophagosomes anchor an AKAP11-dependent regulatory checkpoint that shapes neuronal PKA signaling
Protein Kinase A (PKA) is regulated spatially and temporally via scaffolding of its catalytic (Cα) and regulatory (RI/RII) subunits by the A-kinase-anchoring proteins (AKAP). By binding to an AKAP11 scaffold, PKA engages in poorly understood interactions

ADENYLYL CYCLASE TYPE 9: REGULATION AND CARDIAC FUNCTION [PDF]
Abnormalities in cardiac stress signaling underlie a number of cardiovascular diseases (e.g. arrhythmias and heart failure). Cardiac stress signaling pathways normally integrate signals from the sympathetic nervous system to promote efficient contraction

Serotonin 5‐HT7 receptor signaling in neuropsychiatric disorders
5‐HT7R recruits Gs, G12, and β‐arrestin signaling to regulate neuronal plasticity, circuit function, and kinase‐linked intracellular responses. This review summarizes how these pathway‐selective modules contribute to autism spectrum disorder, depression, and schizophrenia, highlighting 5‐HT7R as a pathway‐informed therapeutic target. Abstract Serotonin
