Proton therapy

Physics in Medicine and Biology, 2006
Proton therapy has become a subject of considerable interest in the radiation oncology community and it is expected that there will be a substantial growth in proton treatment facilities during the next decade. I was asked to write a historical review of proton therapy based on my personal experiences, which have all occurred in the United States, so ...

Proton-proton diffraction scattering

Nuclear Physics, 1965
Abstract On the basis of the one-pion-exchange model, the proton-proton diffraction peak is calculated, assuming a constant pion-proton diffraction peak in the asymptotic region. It is shown that the shrinking of the proton-proton diffraction peak can be explained also in terms of this model.
