1991The sour cherry (Prunus cerasus L.) forms, together with other species of the genus Prunus, the subgenus Cerasus, where other interesting species are: P. fruticosa Pallas, which forms a hybrid with P. cerasus locally common in Central Europe; P. mahaleb L., used as a rootstock; and P. avium L., the most important for both fruit and wood.

EFFECTS OF ETHEPHON ON WATER BALANCE OF PRUNUS CERASUS L.
Acta Horticulturae, 19852-chloroethylphosphonic acid (CEPA) was sprayed at 300 ppm on Prunus cerasus on June 22nd when the fruits were ripe. Leaf, stem and fruit water potential, leaf diffusion resistance, air temperature and humidity were measured the day of the treatment and six days after.
