The graphical abstract compares the bioremediation performance of olive mill wastewater using P. aeruginosa immobilized in agar beads and fixed on activated carbon. Both systems effectively reduced chemical oxygen demand (COD), phenols, colour, phosphorus and lipids.

Abstract Ultrasound examinations have the potential to transmit infections between individuals. The risk can be reduced by following certain well‐described procedures to clean and disinfect ultrasound transducers between examinations.
