Metabolism of benzalphthalide by Pseudomonas sp.

World Journal of Microbiology & Biotechnology, 1993
A Pseudomonas sp. degraded benzalphthalide to o-phthalate and benzoate. A tentative pathway for the metabolism of benzalphthalide in this Pseudomonas sp. is proposed on the basis of isolated metabolites, oxygraphic assay and enzymatic studies.

2019
Some biological properties of phytopathogenic strains of Pseudomonas sp., that cause new bacterial disease of the linden (Tilia sp.) were studied. It is known that such properties as plasmid availability and production of bacteriocinogenic substances in many cases relate directly or indirectly to the pathogenesis mechanisms.

Degradation of o-Xylene by Pseudomonas stutzeri OX1 (Pseudomonas sp. OX1)

2007
Interest in the microbial degradation of methylbenzenes arose in the early 1970s, when both toxicological and ecological data started to alert people about their wide distribution in the environment and their effects on living organisms. Most of the early studies on bacterial methylbenzene catabolism focused on bacteria belonging to the genus ...

[Denitrogenation of petroleum by a Pseudomonas sp].

Sheng wu gong cheng xue bao = Chinese journal of biotechnology, 2009
Biodenitrogenation of petroleum oil was investigated by a previously isolated carbazole-degrader Pseudomonas sp. XLDN4-9. In a tetradecane-aqueous phase system, biodegradation of carbazole was enhanced by the presence of n-tetradecane. And strain XLDN4-9 was capable of absorbing 95.2% of 2 g/L carbazole dissolved in diesel within 15 hours.

The metabolism of coumarin by a Pseudomonas Sp.

1961
Microorganisms play a major role in the decomposition of complex organic materials formed in the course of the development of higher plants and animals. Even complex high polymers that are products of the modern synthetic laboratory are known to serve as microbial substrates under appropriate test conditions (Zobell, 1946; Quastel, 1959).
