Plant Growth-Promoting Rhizobacteria Alleviate High Salinity Impact on the Halophyte Suaeda fruticosa by Modulating Antioxidant Defense and Soil Biological Activity

open access: yesFrontiers in Plant Science, 2022
Plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) are considered as bio-ameliorators that confer better salt resistance to host plants while improving soil biological activity.

Fluorescent pseudomonads associated with the phyllosphere of grasses; Pseudomonas trivialis sp. nov., Pseudomonas poae sp. nov. and Pseudomonas congelans sp. nov. [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Systematic and Evolutionary Microbiology, 2003
Strains of fluorescent pseudomonads, isolated from the phyllosphere of grasses, were analysed by a polyphasic approach in order to clarify their interspecific position. Classification on the basis of ribotyping revealed six genotypes; four of these, which could be differentiated clearly from each other and from Pseudomonas species with validly ...

Influence of Pseudomonas and Bacillus Strains Isolated from Lolium perenne Rhizospheric Soil in Vojvodina (Serbia) on Planth Growth and Soil Microbial Communities [PDF]

open access: yesPolish Journal of Microbiology, 2017
The aim of this study was the isolation of Pseudomonas sp. and Bacillus sp. strains from rhizospheric soil and monitoring the impact of two isolates denoted as P12 (Pseudomonas sp.) and B1 (Bacillus sp.) on the parameters of English ryegrass (Lolium ...

AEROBIC BACTERIAL FLORA FROM RUMENAL JUICE OF EXPERIMENTALLY IMPACTED SHEEP [PDF]

open access: yesAssiut Veterinary Medical Journal, 1991
Rumenal samples of 21 sheep were examined bacteriologicaly from normal animals, impacted ones and after being treated from impaction. The microorganisms which were isolated were Pseudomonas sp., Staphylococcus sp., Hafnia, E.coli and Citrobacter sp.

Pseudomonas reinekei sp. nov., Pseudomonas moorei sp. nov. and Pseudomonas mohnii sp. nov., novel species capable of degrading chlorosalicylates or isopimaric acid [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Systematic and Evolutionary Microbiology, 2007
Three bacterial strains, designated MT1T, RW10Tand IpA-2T, had been isolated previously for their ability to degrade chlorosalicylates or isopimaric acid. 16S rRNA gene sequence analysis demonstrated that these bacteria are related to species of the genusPseudomonas.

Pseudomonas salomonii sp. nov., pathogenic on garlic, and Pseudomonas palleroniana sp. nov., isolated from rice. [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Systematic and Evolutionary Microbiology, 2002
A total of 26 strains, including 15 strains isolated from garlic plants with the typical symptoms of 'Café au lait' disease and 11 strains isolated from diseased or healthy rice seeds and sheaths infested by Pseudomonas fuscovaginae, were compared with 70 type or reference strains of oxidase-positive pathogenic or non-pathogenic fluorescent ...

Pseudomonas lyxosi sp. nov., Pseudomonas arabinosi sp. nov. and Pseudomonas frigoris sp. nov., isolated from glaciers

open access: yesInternational Journal of Systematic and Evolutionary Microbiology
Three Gram-stain-negative, rod-shaped, motile bacterial strains, each with a single polar flagellum, designated LB3P38T, LT1P18T and ZB1P45T, were isolated from glacier samples on the Tibetan Plateau, P.R. China. These strains grew at temperatures ranging from −2 to 32 °C (optimum 25–30 °C) and at pH values of 5.0–11.0 (optimum pH 7.0).

Microbial transformation of quinoline by a Pseudomonas sp [PDF]

open access: yesApplied and Environmental Microbiology, 1986
A Pseudomonas sp. isolated from sewage by enrichment culture on quinoline metabolized this substrate by a novel pathway involving 8-hydroxycoumarin. During early growth of the organism on quinoline, 2-hydroxyquinoline accumulated as the intermediate; 8-hydroxycoumarin accumulated as the major metabolite on further incubation. 2,8-Dihydroxyquinoline and
