ChemInform Abstract: A Seleno‐Pummerer Rearrangement of Haloselenuranes.

ChemInform, 1989
AbstractThe methyl ketones (I) react with selenium oxychloride (II) to form the di(acylmethyl)selenium dichlorides (III) which are rearranged upon treatment with triethylamine or heating to give the acylmethyl acylchloromethyl selenides (IV).

Formation of aminals from amines via Pummerer rearrangement

Canadian Journal of Chemistry, 1979
Reaction of 2-amino-3-nitropyridine with acid chlorides in the presence of dimethyl sulfoxide and a tertiary base, such as pyridine, unexpectedly yielded the aminal N,N′-bis(3-nitro-2-pyridinylimino)methylene 5. A similar aminal 6 formed when 2-amino-5-nitropyridine was treated under the same conditions.

The First Observation of γ-Sila-Pummerer Rearrangement

Phosphorus, Sulfur, and Silicon and the Related Elements, 2013
Abstract 2-Sulfinyl-3-trimethylsilylmethylcycloalkanones unexpectedly undergo γ-sila-Pummerer rearrangement. The first examples of this new type of rearrangement are presented.
