Genotype, Ethnicity, and Drug–Drug Interaction Modeling as Means of Verifying Transporter Biomarker PBPK Model: The Coproporphyrin‐I Story

open access: yesCPT: Pharmacometrics &Systems Pharmacology, Volume 14, Issue 5, Page 941-953, May 2025.
ABSTRACT Coproporphyrin‐I (CP‐I) is a selective endogenous biomarker of organic anion‐transporting polypeptide (OATP)1B. Multiple CP‐I PBPK models with differing input parameters have been reported so far. This study proposed a harmonized CP‐I PBPK model and evaluated its ability to predict the effect of ethnicity, SLCO1B1 genotype c.521T>C, and sex on

Dietary supplementation with milk‐derived Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. lactis relieves colitis‐linked reproductive disorders via gut‐testis axis

open access: yesiMetaOmics, Volume 2, Issue 1, March 2025.
The illustration of health benefits of Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. lactis NJ241 isolated from naturally fermented bovine milk. Integrative approaches unraveled that daily supplementation with Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. lactis NJ241 could markedly suppress colitis‐linked reproductive disorders through the gut‐testis axis.

SYISL Knockout Promotes Embryonic Muscle Development of Offspring by Modulating Maternal Gut Microbiota and Fetal Myogenic Cell Dynamics

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 12, Issue 6, February 10, 2025.
SYISL knockout significantly promotes embryonic muscle development and increases muscle fiber numbers of offspring by modulating maternal gut microbiota composition and butyrate‐HDAC‐H3K9ac/H3K27ac pathway. Furthermore, scRNA‐seq analysis shows that SYISL knockout alone significantly increases the number and proportion of myogenic cells and their ...

Effect of pyridoxal administration on the contents of pyridoxal phosphate and .GAMMA.-aminobutyric acid in mouse brain.

open access: yesJournal of Nutritional Science and Vitaminology, 1978
Many mice treated with a high single dose of PL died in convulsions. The convulsions were very similar to those induced with some anti B6 in several ways: (1) a long latent period occurs betfore convulsions; (2) PLP levels in brain decrease; (3) GABA levels in brain, especially in synaptosomal fraction, decrease.

Utility of Biomarker‐Informed Drug Interaction Evaluation in Drug Development and Regulatory Decision Making

open access: yesClinical Pharmacology &Therapeutics, Volume 117, Issue 2, Page 398-402, February 2025.
The measurement of endogenous biomarkers in plasma and urine before and after administration of an investigational drug in a clinical study may provide an early indication of its drug–drug interaction (DDI) potential via a specific pathway. In the first international harmonized guideline on drug interaction studies, the International Council for ...
