Synthesis of Pyrimidines and Condensed Pyrimidines [PDF]

open access: yesBulletin of the Chemical Society of Japan, 1973
Abstract A new one-step synthesis of pyrimidines and condensed pyrimidines by heating carboxamides or cyclic lactams with formamide in the presence of POCl3 in a sealed tube is described.

Design, synthesis and antitumor activity of coumarin, isoxazole, pyrazole, pyridine and pyrimidine compounds: 3β-hydroxypregn-5-ene-20-one derivatives [PDF]

open access: yesActa Poloniae Pharmaceutica, 2023
In continuation of our reserach for synthesizing heterocyclic derivatives with a broad range of biological activities, the current research was performed to synthesize 3β-hydroxypregn-5-ene-20-one derivatives of coumarin, isoxazole, pyrazole, pyridine ...

Downy mildew resistance and genetic variability in a wild rocket germplasm collection

open access: yesAgronomy Journal, Volume 114, Issue 6, Page 3083-3095, November/December 2022., 2022
Abstract One hundred accessions of a “core collection” of Diplotaxis tenuifolia (L.) DC. and Eruca spp. were screened at seedling stage for resistance to downy mildew. Accessions tested at the seedling stage were assigned to 0–6 interaction phenotypes.

2-Amino-5-methyl-1,2,4-triazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidin-7(4H)-one

open access: yesIUCrData, 2018
The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C6H7N5O, consists of two molecules with almost identical conformations. In the crystal, inversion dimers linked by pairs of N—H...N hydrogen bonds occur for both molecules; further N—H...N and N—H...O hydrogen ...

PURINE AND PYRIMIDINE ANTAGONISM IN A PYRIMIDINE-DEFICIENT MUTANT OF NEUROSPORA [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Biological Chemistry, 1948
The present study is concerned with the inhibition of growth of the pyrimidine-deficient Neurospora mutant, No. 1298, by the naturally occurring purine ribonucleotides and ribonucleosides. This experimentally produced strain, unlike the wild type, is unable to synthesize the pyrimidine ribonucleosides on a medium containing inorganic salts ...

Anticipatory banking of samples enables diagnosis of adenylosuccinase deficiency following molecular autopsy in an infant with vacuolating leukoencephalopathy

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Medical Genetics Part A, Volume 191, Issue 1, Page 234-237, January 2023., 2023
Abstract Adenylosuccinase deficiency is a rare inborn error of metabolism. We present a newborn who died at 52 days of age with clinical features suggestive of severe epileptic encephalopathy and leukodystrophy of unknown cause. Post‐mortem examination showed an unusual vacuolar appearance of the brain.

Design, synthesis and antitumor activity of 5-trifluoromethylpyrimidine derivatives as EGFR inhibitors

open access: yesJournal of Enzyme Inhibition and Medicinal Chemistry, 2022
A new series of 5-trifluoromethylpyrimidine derivatives were designed and synthesised as EGFR inhibitors. Three tumour cells A549, MCF-7, PC-3 and EGFR kinase were employed to evaluate their biological activities.

4-(Prop-2-yn-1-ylsulfanyl)-1H-pyrazolo[3,4-d]pyrimidine

open access: yesIUCrData, 2017
The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C8H6N4S, consists of two independent molecules differing in the orientation of the side chain. In the crystal, molecules form dimers through N—H...N hydrogen bonds.

A Review on Fused Pyrimidine Systems as EGFR Inhibitors and Their Structure–Activity Relationship

open access: yesFrontiers in Chemistry, 2022
Epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) belongs to the family of tyrosine kinase that is activated when a specific ligand binds to it. The EGFR plays a vital role in the cellular proliferation process, differentiation, and apoptosis.
