Ozonolysis of Pyrimidine Nucleosides [PDF]

open access: yesBulletin of the Chemical Society of Japan, 1990
Abstract Cytidine, uridine, and thymidine are transformed into the ring-contracted 1-substituted derivatives by ozone. A plausible mechanism is proposed.

N-Ribosyltransferase From Archaeoglobus veneficus: A Novel Halotolerant and Thermostable Biocatalyst for the Synthesis of Purine Ribonucleoside Analogs

open access: yesFrontiers in Bioengineering and Biotechnology, 2020
Nucleoside-2′-deoxyribosyl-transferases (NDTs) catalyze a transglycosylation reaction consisting of the exchange of the 2′-deoxyribose moiety between a purine and/or pyrimidine nucleoside and a purine and/or pyrimidine base.

Escherichia Coli Bl21: A Useful Biocatalyst for the Synthesis of Purine Nucleosides

open access: yesMolecules, 2000
E. coli BL21 cells were able to synthesize several purine nucleosides from pyrimidine ones. Kinetics and yields of this reaction showed a strong dependence on pH, temperature, reagent concentrations and weight of wet cell paste.

Synthesis of some novel hydrazono acyclic nucleoside analogues

open access: yesBeilstein Journal of Organic Chemistry, 2010
The syntheses of novel hydrazono acyclic nucleosides similar to miconazole scaffolds are described. In this series of acyclic nucleosides, pyrimidine as well as purine and other azole derivatives replaced the imidazole function in miconazole and the ...

Fluorine‐18‐Labeled Nucleotide Analogs Targeting Ecto‐5'‐Nucleotidase (CD73) for Positron Emission Tomography Imaging of Solid Tumors

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Fluorine‐18‐labeled CD73 inhibitor [18F]PSB‐19427 enables noninvasive PET mapping of CD73 overexpression in triple‐negative breast (TNBC) and pancreatic cancer. For [18F]PSB‐19427, specific binding in human tumor tissues, favorable biodistribution with prolonged blood retention, robust tumor uptake, and superiority to [18F]FDG in a TNBC model ...

Metabolism of pyrimidine L-nucleosides

open access: yesNucleic Acids Research, 1976
The intraperitoneal application of L-nucleosides (L-Cyd, L-Urd, L-dThd) to mice results in distribution of these compounds into tissues of the organism and their gradual excretion in the unchanged form. The residual level has been observed with L-ribonucleosides only and contains in addition to the L-nucleoside its 5'-phosphate.

Selective prebiotic conversion of pyrimidine and purine anhydronucleosides into Watson-Crick base-pairing arabino-furanosyl nucleosides in water

open access: yesNature Communications, 2018
Arabinonucleic acid (ANA) Watson-Crick base-pair with RNA/DNA and can evolve to display enzyme-like function. Here, the authors now identify a prebiotic pathway that yields the complete set of Watson-Crick base-pairing purine and pyrimidine ANA ...

Synthesis of Cyclic and Acyclic Pyrimidine Nucleosides Analogues with Anticipated Antiviral Activity

open access: yesActa Chimica Slovenica, 2018
A convenient method for preparation of cyclic and acyclic nucleosides was achieved by alkylation of 6-(2,4-dichlorophenoxymethyl)pyrimidine-2,4-dione (1) with a variety of acyclic and cyclic activated sugar analogues, namely (2-acetoxyethoxy)methyl ...

Thermus thermophilus Strains Active in Purine Nucleoside Synthesis

open access: yesMolecules, 2009
Several strains of Thermus thermophilus were tested in order to detect purine nucleoside synthase activity using pyrimidine nucleosides as the sugar-donor and adenine or hypoxanthine as bases.
