ABSTRACT Background Neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD) is a relapsing autoimmune disease of the central nervous system. High‐dose intravenous methylprednisolone (IVMP) is the standard first‐line therapy for acute attacks, although some patients remain refractory.

A vertical diatomic artificial molecule in the intermediate coupling regime in a parallel and perpendicular magnetic field [PDF]
We present experimental results for the ground state electrochemical potentials of a few electron semiconductor artificial molecule made by vertically coupling two quantum dots, in the intermediate coupling regime, in perpendicular and parallel magnetic ...

Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

Quantitative Analysis of Dimetindene Maleate in Dosage Forms by Ion-pair Reversed- Phase HPLC
The formulations of Dimetindene Maleate as capsule, drop and gel and their methods of analysis are still unavailable in international Pharmacopeia. In this work ion-pair reversed- phase HPLC method was developed for the determination of Dimetindene ...

Noise Thermometry with Two Weakly Coupled Bose-Einstein Condensates
Here we report on the experimental investigation of thermally induced fluctuations of the relative phase between two Bose-Einstein condensates which are coupled via tunneling. The experimental control over the coupling strength and the temperature of the

This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.

Criticality and the Onset of Ordering in the Standard Vicsek Model [PDF]
Experimental observations of animal collective behavior have shown stunning evidence for the emergence of large-scale cooperative phenomena resembling phase transitions in physical systems.
