Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Quantitative Analysis of Cardiomyocyte Dynamics with Optical Coherence Phase Microscopy [PDF]
Spectral domain optical coherence microscopy (OCM) is an interferometric imaging technique for three-dimensional reconstruction of biological samples. Phase sensitive implementation of OCM has generally been in common path interferometer configuration to

Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

Quantitative Amplitude- and Phase- Contrast Plasmonic Microscopy with High Spatial Resolution
Plasmonic microscopy is a powerful tool for nanoscopic bio and chemical sample analysis due to its high sensitivity. Here, we demonstrated the quantitative amplitude- and phase- contrast imaging capabilities of plasmonic microscopy through holographical ...

Thermodynamic model for predicting mineral phase distribution in cement-stabilized kaolinite
In this study, a new method based on a chemical thermodynamic model is proposed to quantitatively predict the phase distribution in cemented soil. Commercial kaolinite with simple phase composition is selected, and a series of cemented kaolinite samples ...

Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

Quantitative and Qualitative Analysis of Aircraft Round-Trip Times Using Phase Type Distributions
One of the major issues facing commercial airlines is the time that it takes to board passengers. Further, most airlines wish to increase the number of trips that an aircraft can make between two or more cities.
