A genetic basis for mechanosensory traits in humans. [PDF]
In all vertebrates hearing and touch represent two distinct sensory systems that both rely on the transformation of mechanical force into electrical signals.

Multi‐Tissue Genetic Regulation of RNA Editing in Pigs
This study presents the first multi‐tissue map of RNA editing and its genetic regulation in pigs. By integrating RNA editing profiles, edQTL mapping, GWAS, and cross‐species comparisons, this work establishes RNA editing as a distinct regulatory layer linking genetic variation to complex traits, highlighting its functional and evolutionary significance.

Background Currently most pastoral farmers rely on anthelmintic drenches to control gastrointestinal parasitic nematodes in sheep. Resistance to anthelmintics is rapidly increasing in nematode populations such that on some farms none of the drench ...

In this study, the orange‐muscle giant abalone (Haliotis gigantea) is used as a model to identify a non‐coding SNP that disrupts the interaction between ITGA8 pre‐mRNA and the splicing factor ILF2, leading to altered ITGA8 splicing. These splicing changes promote carotenoid accumulation in abalone muscle through the regulation of tissue remodeling ...

Appetitive operant conditioning in mice: heritability and dissociability of training stages
To study the heritability of different training stages of appetitive operant conditioning, we carried out behavioural screening of 5 standard inbred mouse strains, 28 recombinant-inbred (BxD) mouse lines and their progenitor strains C57BL/6J and DBA/2J ...

Microbial synthesis of nanomaterials (NMs) is eco‐friendly, but the screening of microorganisms is limited by inefficient traditional methods (currently only involving∽400 microorganisms/90 NMs). We propose AI framework MicrobeDiscover, integrating a knowledge graph of microbe‐NM interactions.
