Background: Part of quercetin flows into the colon after escaping the absorption of the small intestine and will be degraded by colonic microbiota. The catabolites in the colon partially determine the physiological activity of quercetin.

Quercetin represses apolipoprotein B expression by inhibiting the transcriptional activity of C/EBPβ. [PDF]
Quercetin is one of the most abundant polyphenolic flavonoids found in fruits and vegetables and has anti-oxidative and anti-obesity effects. Because the small intestine is a major absorptive organ of dietary nutrients, it is likely that highly ...

Abstract Background Cancer emergence is associated with a series of cellular transformations that include acquired drug resistance followed by tumor metastasis. Matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) and Hsp90 chaperone are implicated in tumor progression, however, they are not studied in the context of drug resistance. Aims In the present study, we aimed at

Schematic illustration of the mechanism of targeted delivery of nanoparticles including 1) paracellular, 2) endolysosomal escape, 3) receptor mediated endocytosis, and 4) M cell mediated transport for non‐GI diseases by oral administration such as atherosclerosis, cancer, diabetes, and brain diseases. Abstract Oral drug delivery is a promising approach

Abstract Objective This study aimed to evaluate and compare the impacts of the postbleaching application of sodium ascorbate, alpha‐tocopherol, and quercetin on the shear bond strength (SBS) of composite resin. Material and Methods 60 extracted intact maxillary first premolars were collected and were randomly divided into five experimental groups as ...

Genomics-guided molecular maps of coronavirus targets in human cells: a path toward the repurposing of existing drugs to mitigate the pandemic [PDF]
Human genes required for SARS-CoV-2 entry into human cells, ACE2 and FURIN, were employed as baits to build genomics-guided maps of up-stream regulatory elements, their expression and functions in human body, including pathophysiologically-relevant cell types.

High glucose‐ and acid‐responsive hydrogel with dynamic covalent bond solubilized with flavonoids (Gel‐Flavonoids) is designed for diabetic wound healing. The Gel‐Flavonoids adapt to irregular wound shapes and release antioxidants in high‐glucose environments, effectively reducing reactive oxygen species.

Abstract Objective The aim of this study was to evaluate and compare the effects of chlorhexidine, quercetin, and α‐tocopherol on the shear bond strength of universal adhesives in the short (24h) and long term (6 months). Material and Methods Ninety‐six extracted sound molars were collected and divided randomly into four groups: control (no treatment),
