Quinoxaline-2-carbonitrile [PDF]
In the title compound, C9H5N3, the quinoxaline ring is essentially planar, with a maximum deviation of 0.012 (1) Å. Short intermolecular distances between the centroids of the 2,3-dihydropyrazine and benzene rings [3.6490 (5) Å] indicate the existence of π⋯π interactions.

2-(4-Chloroanilino)quinoxaline [PDF]
There are two mol-ecules in the asymmetric unit of the title compound, C(14)H(10)ClN(3), with dihedral angles of 5.11 (10) and 13.61 (10)° between the aromatic ring systems. In the crystal structure, mol-ecules are linked by N-H⋯N hydrogen bonds, resulting in chains propagating in [010].

2,3-Diethylbenzo[g]quinoxaline [PDF]
The title compound, C16H16N2, was synthesized by dispersing 3,4-hexanedione in a methanol–water solution containing the acid catalyst NH4HF2, then adding 1,2-diaminonaphthalene. The fused-ring system of the title compound is close to planar (r.m.s. deviation = 0.028 Å); one of the pendant methyl C atoms lies close to the ring plane [deviation = 0.071 ...

2-(3-Nitrophenoxy)quinoxaline [PDF]
In the title mol-ecule, C(14)H(9)N(3)O(3), the dihedral angle between the quinoxaline and benzene rings is 77.13 (9)°. The mol-ecule is twisted about the ether-benzene O-C bond, with a C-O-C-C torsion angle of -102.8 (2)°. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked by C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming layers in the ab plane, with one nitro O atom accepting two ...

7,8-Dimethyl-11H-indeno[1,2-b]quinoxalin-11-one
In the title compound, C17H12N2O, the mean planes of the indene ring and quinoxaline system (r.m.s. deviations = 0.0131 and 0.0082 Å) are approximately parallel to one another, making a dihedral angle of 1.2 (5)°.

Aminoquinoxaline-Based Dual Colorimetric and Fluorescent Sensors for pH Measurement in Aqueous Media
This research is focused on the development of pH indicators based on the quinoxaline signaling group for acidic aqueous solutions (pH 1–5). A push–pull quinoxaline QC1 in which two electron-donating (3-aminopropyl)amino substituents are attached to ...
