[18F]Nifene, a PET imaging probe for α4β2* nicotinic acetylcholine receptors, was used to discretely measure changes in hippocampus (HP) and subiculum (SUB) of postmortem Parkinson's disease (PD) cases compared to cognitively normal (CN) cases. Significant increased [18F]nifene binding in PD was observed.

Despite radiotheranostics being at the forefront of Precision Oncology, most radiopharmaceuticals in use today are based on synthetic ligands and/or synthetic peptides, which are often costly and unavailable in many geographies (Hofman et al., 2020; Hope et al., 2019).

Sugar Amino Acid Linkers for the Design of [18F]SiFA‐PSMA Radioligands
Sugar amino acid (SAA) linkers were incorporated into silicon‐fluoride‐acceptor (SiFA)‐prostate‐specific membrane antigen (PSMA) radioligands to modulate pharmacokinetic properties while preserving efficient 18F isotopic exchange radiolabeling. Furanose‐based SAAs outperformed pyranose analogues, enabling specific tumor visualization by PET despite ...

Terbium sisters: current development status and upscaling opportunities
The interest in terbium radionuclides, which can be used in nuclear medicine, has increased tremendously over the last decade. Several research studies have shown the potential of four terbium radionuclides 149,152,155,161Tb both for cancer diagnosis as ...

Scanner‐agnostic artificial intelligence approach for fast bone scintigraphy
Abstract Purpose Current bone scintigraphy protocols often demand full‐count, 10–15 min scans to preserve image quality, and existing deep‐learning (DL) denoisers typically need to be retrained or retuned for each camera manufacturer. We introduce a scanner‐agnostic adaptive‐diffusion U‐Net designed to reconstruct diagnostic‐grade images from half‐time

Abstract A patient with castration‐resistant prostate cancer (CRPC) was referred to our clinic seeking palliative management of a painful metastasis in the left pelvis. At the time of referral, the patient was receiving [177Lu]Lu‐PSMA 617 (Pluvicto®) therapy at an outside institution, with the next scheduled administration approaching within days.

Pharmacokinetic engineering of clickable radioligands was achieved via albumin hitchhiking approach within a pretargeted radiotheranostics delivery platform. This approach reduced rapid renal elimination, expanded bioorthogonal capture window, boosted tumor uptake by ∼3.5‐fold, and improved the tumor‐to‐liver ratio by ∼6‐fold.

This study establishes [68Ga]Ga‐DOTA‐AP9 as a first‐in‐human CD147‐targeted PET tracer with favorable safety and specific tumor uptake. Tracer accumulation correlates with CD147 expression in patients, enabling noninvasive quantification of CD147‐positive malignancies.
