Rapid Photogelation of Low‐Concentration Polymer Solutions via Photodimerization of o‐Ethylnitrobenzene

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Upon UV irradiation, flexible and tough hydrogels are formed rapidly (>0.5 s) from dilute (>0.5 wt%) solutions of o‐ethylnitrobenzene–modified PVA. At ∼1.5 wt%, the hydrogels withstand up to 10 MPa compression, remain handleable even after 200‐fold swelling.

CircTMCC1 enhances radioresistance in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma by upregulating MYC via miR-186-3p sponging

open access: yesDiscover Oncology
The involvement of circRNA in the radiosensitivity of various malignancies has been well established; however, its specific regulatory function and underlying mechanisms in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) radiosensitivity remain largely ...

High‐Power Hybrid Nanogenerator With Multi‐Degree‐of‐Freedom Mechanical Coupling for Harvesting Water Wave Energy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A high‐power hybrid nanogenerator (HP‐HNG) with multi‐degree‐of‐freedom mechanical coupling is reported, integrating multi‐directional wave energy for output to achieve 1 + 1 > 2 energy harvesting. The HP‐HNG achieves a peak output power of 0.764 W, corresponding to a peak power density of 127.303 W m−3. At a wave frequency of 1 Hz, the HP‐HNG delivers

Loss of CYLD on Chromosome 16q Impairs Homologous Recombination and Genomic Stability Through TIRR Degradation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Chromosome 16q loss drives genomic instability through disruption of the CYLD–TIRR–53BP1 axis. CYLD preserves homologous recombination by stabilizing TIRR and limiting 53BP1 accumulation at DNA double‐strand breaks. CYLD deficiency redirects repair toward error‐prone non‐homologous end joining, promotes mutational burden and homologous recombination ...

Radiosensitivity Prediction of Tumor Patient Based on Deep Fusion of Pathological Images and Genomics

open access: yesBioengineering
The radiosensitivity of cancer patients determines the efficacy of radiotherapy, and patients with low radiosensitivity cannot benefit from radiotherapy. Therefore, accurately predicting radiosensitivity before treatment is essential for personalized and

Low SLC8A1 in Colorectal Cancer Dictates Radiotherapy Resistance Through Calcium‐Dependent ANXA2+sEVs Driving M2 Polarization of TAMs

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
SLC8A1 deficiency in colorectal cancer cells increases intracellular calcium signaling, promoting the secretion of ANXA2‐enriched small extracellular vesicles. These vesicles reprogram tumor‐associated macrophages towards an M2 phenotype, which in turn fosters a tumor microenvironment conducive to radioresistance and is associated with poor patient ...

p300‐Mediated H3K18 Lactylation Drives Radiation‐Induced Pulmonary Fibrosis via VIRMA‐Dependent m6A Modification of GATA3

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Radiation triggers glycolytic reprogramming in alveolar epithelial type II cells, causing pathological lactate accumulation. This metabolic stress drives p300‐mediated H3K18 lactylation at the VIRMA promoter, activating transcription. Elevated VIRMA enriches m6A on GATA3 mRNA, which YTHDF1 stabilizes, ultimately driving epithelial–mesenchymal ...

Circ‐POSTN promotes the progression and reduces radiosensitivity in esophageal cancer by regulating the miR‐876‐5p/FYN axis

open access: yesThoracic Cancer
Background Circular RNAs (circRNAs) play critical roles in the tumorigenesis and radiosensitivity of multiple cancers. Nevertheless, the biological functions of circRNA periostin (circ‐POSTN) in esophageal cancer (EC) progression and radiosensitivity ...
