Toxicity of PAO1 toward RAW 264.7 cells.

open access: yes, 2013
A) RAW 264.7 cells were exposed to PAO1 in the presence of different kinase inhibitors: SP600125 (for JNK, 10 mg/ml), U0126 (for MEK, 10 mg/ml) and BMS345541 (for IKK, 10 mg/ml). MTT assays quantitated cell viability after 1 day.

Natural‐Inspired Engineered Microalgae With Selenium Enrichment Enabled Potent Anti‐Tumor Immunity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Se‐Ssp was engineered as a potent immunomodulator for activating innate immunity via the TLR and cGAS‐STING pathways, therefore converting “cold” tumors into “hot” tumors to achieve high efficacy and long‐term therapeutic outcomes. ABSTRACT Immunotherapy has shed light on clinical oncology for several decades.

Macrophage‐derived MLKL in alcohol‐associated liver disease: Regulation of phagocytosis

open access: yesHepatology, EarlyView., 2022
EtOH causes leaky gut allowing bacteria and PAMPs into the liver, resulting in hepatic inflammation and injury. We demonstrate that LPS induces STAT1‐mediated expression and phosphorylation of MLKL in macrophages and identify a novel function that myeloid MLKL translocates to phagosomes and lysosomes and regulates phagocytosis, which contributes to the

Shikonin Directly Inhibits Nitric Oxide Synthases: Possible Targets That Affect Thoracic Aorta Relaxation Response and Nitric Oxide Release From RAW 264.7 Macrophages

open access: yesJournal of Pharmacological Sciences, 2010
Recently, an isomeric mixture of herbal anti-inflammatory naphthoquinones shikonin and alkannin, and their derivatives, have been found to impair cellular responses involving nitric oxide (NO) and NO synthesis, like the acetylcholine-induced relaxation ...

Reversing Macrophage Immunometabolic Dysfunction in Prolonged Infections Via a Glutaminolysis‐Fueled Restoration‐Based Hierarchically Selective Therapeutic System

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A hierarchically selective immunotherapeutic nanoplatform, mGls@HEV‐MTP, selectively restores macrophage immunocompetence through GLS1‐mediated restoration of glutaminolysis‐fueled anaplerosis. Concurrently, it renders Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus) more readily recognizable to the metabolically reprogrammed macrophages, thereby facilitating ...

HPLC-PDA Analysis and Anti-inflammatory Effects of Mori Cortex Radicis

open access: yesNatural Product Communications, 2013
Mori Cortex Radicis (MCR, Moraceae) is used traditionally in the treatment of jaundice, hematemesis, edema, and pollakisuria in Korea. In this study, the anti-inflammatory effects of MCR extract were investigated using RAW 264.7 cells.

Quantitative Visualization of Intracellular Nanometabolism Using Peak‐Shifted Dual‐State Emissive FRET Nanoprobes

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study reveals the long‐elusive intracellular dissolution mechanism of carrier‐free nanomedicines. By utilizing peak‐shifted dual‐state emissive FRET nanoprobes (PDFNPs) that undergo a distinct ratiometric fluorescence peak shift upon disassembly, we achieve real‐time, quantitative tracking of dissolution kinetics in live cells.
