CT10 regulator of kinase (CRK) and CRK‐Like (CRKL) are signaling adaptors driving cell adhesion, motility, differentiation, and proliferation. SH2‐domain containing (SH) proteins are enriched in YXXP motifs which when phosphorylated create preferred binding sites for CRK family SH2 domains.

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Kinetic limitations in turnover of photosynthetic bacterial reaction center protein [PDF]
The membrane-bound reaction center from purple nonsulfur photosynthetic bacterium Rhodobacter sphaeroides performs light-induced charge separation and exports two molecules of oxidized cytochrome and one molecule of fully reduced quinone (quinol) from ...

Reaction center photochemistry of Heliobacterium chlorum
Reaction center photochemistry in Heliobacterium chlorum has been investigated by using EPR and flash absorption spectroscopy at low temperatures. The following results were obtained. At 5 K, in the presence of ascorbate, continuous illumination resulted

Subtype‐specific enhancer RNAs define transcriptional regulators and prognosis in breast cancers
This study employed machine learning methodologies to perform the subtype‐specific classification of RNA‐seq data sets, which are mapped on enhancers from TCGA‐derived breast cancer patients. Their integration with gene expression (referred to as ProxCReAM eRNAs) and chromatin accessibility profiles has the potential to identify lineage‐specific and ...

Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

Photosynthetic reaction center complexes from heliobacteria
The goal of this project is to understand the early evolutionary development of photosynthesis by examining the properties of reaction centers isolated from certain contemporary organisms that appear to contain the simplest photosynthetic reaction ...

COMP–PMEPA1 axis promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition in breast cancer cells
This study reveals that cartilage oligomeric matrix protein (COMP) promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EMT) in breast cancer. We identify PMEPA1 (protein TMEPAI) as a novel COMP‐binding partner that mediates EMT via binding to the TSP domains of COMP, establishing the COMP–PMEPA1 axis as a key EMT driver in breast cancer.

Cytochrome b559 content in isolated photosystem ii reaction center preparations
The cytochrome b559 content was examined in five types of isolated photosystem II D1-D2-cytochrome b559 reaction center preparations containing either five or six chlorophylls per reaction center.

Pre‐analytical handling critically determines liquid biopsy performance. This study defines practical best‐practice conditions for cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) and extracellular vesicle–derived DNA (evDNA), showing how processing time, storage conditions, tube type, and plasma input volume affect DNA integrity and mutation detection.
