The Semaphorin 3E (Sema3E)‐Plexin‐D1 pathway mediated by C/EBPα and C/EBPβ downstream of the luteinizing hormone (LH) surge plays important roles in the mouse preovulatory ovary. Timely activation and suppression of this pathway during the preovulatory stage are crucial for ovulation, corpus luteum formation, and proper angiogenesis.

Renal vascular response to angiotensin 1-7 in rats: the role of Mas receptor
Recently a cross talk between angiotensin 1-7 (Ang1-7) receptor (MasR) and angiotensin II receptors types 1 and 2 (AT1R and AT2R) has been highlighted. The effects of MasR antagonist (A779) compared to the vehicle on the renal blood flow (RBF) and renal ...

Mild exercise along with limb blood-flow restriction modulates the electrocardiogram, angiotensin, and apelin receptors of the heart in aging rats [PDF]
Objective(s): Considering the lack of information, the effects of mild endurance exercise plus blood flow restriction (BFR) on electrocardiographic parameters, hypertrophy index, and expression of angiotensin II receptors type 1 (AT1R) and type 2 (AT2R ...

A computational insight of the improved nicotine binding with ACE2-SARS-CoV-2 complex with its clinical impact [PDF]
Smokers being witnessed with the mild adverse clinical symptoms of SARS-CoV-2, the in-silico study is intended to explore the effect of nicotine binding to the soluble angiotensin converting enzyme II (ACE2) receptor with or without SARS-CoV-2 binding.

Molecular Implications of natriuretic peptides in the protection from hypertension and target organ damage development [PDF]
The pathogenesis of hypertension, as a multifactorial trait, is complex. High blood pressure levels, in turn, concur with the development of cardiovascular damage.

A new amphipathic molecule, S416 is discovered, that locks the SARS‐CoV‐2 spike protein in its closed state, blocking viral entry. S416 acts as a molecular bolt, binding six sites: three between adjacent RBDs and three connecting NTDs to RBDs. This dual‐locking mechanism stiffens the spike structure and reduces its flexibility.

Angiotensin converting enzyme 2 (ACE2) is a zinc carboxypeptidase involved in the renin angiotensin system (RAS) and inactivates the potent vasopressive peptide angiotensin II (Ang II) by removing the C-terminal phenylalanine residue to yield Ang1-7 ...

Regional variation in aortic AT1b receptor mRNA abundance is associated with contractility but unrelated to atherosclerosis and aortic aneurysms. [PDF]
Angiotensin II (AngII), the main bioactive peptide of the renin angiotensin system, exerts most of its biological actions through stimulation of AngII type 1 (AT1) receptors.

Mutations strengthened SARS-CoV-2 infectivity [PDF]
Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infectivity is a major concern in coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) prevention and economic reopening. However, rigorous determination of SARS-COV-2 infectivity is essentially impossible owing to its continuous evolution with over 13752 single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNP) variants in six ...
