Signal Transduction by the T Cell Antigen Receptor
1989The T cell antigen receptor (TCR) must recognize antigen, and translate this recognition event into intracellular signal transduction events. Two signal transduction events are regulated by the TCR: the activation of a protein tyrosine kinase (PTK) and phospholipase C (PLC).

T cell antigen receptor signal transduction
Current Opinion in Cell Biology, 1997The T cell antigen receptor (TCR) initiates signal transduction by activating multiple cytoplasmic protein tyrosine kinases (PTKs). Considerable progress in the field of TCR signal transduction has been made in three areas recently: first, in understanding the structure and function of the PTK ZAP-70; second, in the elucidation of the function of the ...

T cell antigen-receptor signal transduction
Current Opinion in Immunology, 1999During the past year, major progress has been made in understanding proximal TCR signal-transduction events. Cbl has been identified as a negative regulator of kinases from the ZAP-70/Syk family. Studies on LAT, SLP-76, Itk and Vav have revealed their role in the activation of Ras and phospholipase-Cgamma1-Ca2+ signalling pathways.

Lymphoid Cell Receptors and Antigen Recognition
1976The subject of this session is at the very heart of immunology — what the lymphocyte recognizes, what is the nature of the cell receptors whereby recognition occurs and what might happen to the lymphocyte after the recognition event. In one sense, we are fortunate that these are topics which include controversial opinions and data and at this meeting ...
